The location is central to the Garden District. Downtown, and the French Quarter. With the trolley out front transportation to all is convenient. The house is nicely done in period antiques and my stay was comfortable. The Continental breakfast is, as advertised. My last day I'm pretty sure a reheated fastfood sausage biscuit was served.

John, It appears that you enjoyed your overall stay in my home and I'm glad you were comfortable. We do advertise and serve a continental breakfast. Since your comment, we have removed the sausage biscuits from our menu, but I assure you that it was not a "fastfood" item. We buy all of our breakfast items fresh from local bakeries,...

From the moment we arrived at this B&B, we became concerned about our choice. We were unable to find a sign or name. Oh, wait. There is is: lying askew on the ground among dead fronds (see photo). Our initial inference that this was not a well-maintained property proved all too true. When we entered our room, it was dark--so...

Cheryl, I'm very sorry that we did not meet your needs while you were staying with us in my home. I apologize for the "comedy of errors" that you seemed to experience, as much of what you describe is not generally our standard service or meets our normal attention to detail. You seemed unhappy from the start and there was...

A dear friend and I stayed at the Grand Victorian over my birthday weekend this year and we couldn't have been happier with our visit! The room was gorgeous, and the patio overlooking the exquisite St. Charles ave. was the perfect way to relax before going out to hit the town. The staff was absolutely lovely, breakfast was delicious, and...

We have been to New Orleans many times over the years, and while we go for the love of the food and atmosphere, we always have found it not very relaxing. We stayed at The Grand Victorian on our last trip, and we will stay there every time we are there! The room was full of beautiful antiques and was...

Thank you for your comments. Peace and quiet in a house full of people is one of our main goals here at the GVBB! In addition to all of the interior insulation that we added when restoring the house, our Garden District neighborhood seems to offer a great respite from the hustle and bustle of the nearby French Quarter. I...

We are a couple from Boston and hadn't been to New Orleans in several years. We took a chance on a B&B in the Garden District of New Orleans and could not have been happier. Our stay lasted five days and we were most pleased with Bonnie and her staff's attention and support in all aspects of our visit. The...

I was visiting New Orleans with my parents for a conference, and we decided to stay in a B&B after the conference was over. The Grand Victorian was a relaxing retreat from the bustle of the city. The place itself was elegant and historical, and each of the rooms had a unique charm. My favorite aspect was the open gallery...

Stayed for the first weekend of Jazz Fest 2016, and we absolutely loved The Grand Victorian! Bonnie provided a professional, yet relaxed welcome as we arrived. She shared tips on navigating Jazz Fest (our first time!), suggestions for restaurants that might be available without reservations on one of the busiest weekends of the year, and great suggestions to get to/from...

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Victorian for three days. It is an elegant home in a great location. We enjoyed walking through the Garden District and touring the nearby Lafayette Cemetery. Hop on the trolley that runs down St. Charles Street to visit the French Quarter, Warehouse District, or Audubon Park and Tulane. Candy, snacks, and drinks...

This was our first trip to NOLA to see JazzFest and it seems we picked a great B&B. The trolley line stops right out front, the room was reminiscent of genteel old south, the staff was wonderful. Best of all was that Bonnie, the innkeeper, is a JazzFest fan and provided a slew of information for that, plus the town...

The house is beautiful and characteristic of old New Orleans. The small touches in the rooms are nice, like the sherry, and the rooms are spacious. Breakfast was ok, but still a little disappointing based on stays at other NOLA BnBs in the Garden District. The owner, Bonnie, was pleasant and helpful and the staff, for the most part, was...
