Wonderful. Quaint. Friendly staff. Very accommodating and lovely. We look forward to visiting again. Located within walking distance to the trolley and restaurants. Quiet and relaxing and night. Thank you for making our first anniversary special.

We stayed here prior to a cruise and were very happy. We had 2 rooms, one larger than the other, and the larger one had a fridge. The breakfast was more than adequate. The location was great and just a short walk to the trolley on St Charles. Several restaurants are also close by. The WWII museum is within walking...

Great location, one block from St. Charles trolley, WWII Museum. Breakfast and staff excellent. Beatriz wonderful owner. Free fenced in parking for 5 cars. There are 3 homes that make up the property. If you have trouble with climbing stairs to the second floor, ask if a first floor room is available when booking.

We just loved this B & B! the rooms are not fancy at all but it fit our needs to a 'T'! There were 5 of us in 3 rooms. I was in 18 with two double beds, a fireplace that has the heater/AC now. It could use a bit of cosmetic updates but we loved it! We would sit...

We found the location to be perfect for exploring New Orleans. It's far enough from the French Quarter to be quiet enough to get some rest between outings. Beatrice was a welcoming host. A few caveats for the infrequent traveler. The B and B is an historic home, meaning it is not designed for easy access. There are plenty of...

Not one of the nicer bed and breakfasts, but maybe it was just my room. This bed and breakfast is located on Prytania and I was in the first room on the bottom floor. For starters, this happened to be one of the few cold days of the season and there was zero heat on in the place. No heat...

We stayed 2 nights in a deluxe room with 2 double beds. I found the staff to be very helpful (thanks Nicole!) and willing to assist with questions. The location is very convenient to the St. Charles trolly and you can be in the French Quarter in 8 minutes, or further into the Garden District in 2 minutes. There are...

Staff was nice, breakfast area was nice, room and parts of the buildings in need of work. There was a hole in the wall near the window (softball sized) from water damage (did not appear to be new) and paint peeling around the house. Lights were so dim I could not work at the desk well with everything on. Tiny...

Everything about this bed and breakfast other than the close proximity to the street car, was an absolute disappointment. From checking in in a musty, paint-peeling, makeshift office in a house next door, to a less than basic breakfast two houses down, everything continued to disappoint. The rooms were tired and grubby with peeling paint and bleach marked curtains. The...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
