We were in New Orleans the week before and stayed at the Moneleone Hotel which was outstanding but found this on tripadvisor at a great price and the reviews looked good. We only stayed one night but the hotel was beautiful and the rooms clean, beds comfortable and we were very happy with that. The buffet breakfast was incredible with... More

Stay here! If only for the towels at the pool & its proximity to fresh beignets... the room was large and comfortable, the staff were helpful and efficient and they helped me set up my swamp tour. It was also really close to the Natchez steamboat tour if you're interested in that - I recommend it for the live band... More

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at the Bourbon Orleans. Very relaxing with a great pool. Couldn't ask for a better location when staying in the French Quarter, on Orleans St. wedged in between Royal and Bourbon Streets. About a half block from the Cathedral and Jackson Square. About a 10 minute walk to the French Market and... More

Best hotel I've stayed at in a long time! Guests with our wedding party that stayed at another hotel actually switched over to the Bourbon Orleans. They were jealous. Almost don't want to say good things because I don't want this hotel to totally blow up and be hard to get a rez!

The hotel is located in a dead-end street on Decatur Street, a few steps from the St. Louis Cathedral. It takes up almost the entire block of Decatur Street to Burbon Street and wraps around Burbon Street. Burbon street is the night life in the French quarter so if you have a room on that side, it may be loud.... More

Perfect location and friendly staff. The beautiful lobby always had self-serve water, tea or coffee that I could grab on my way in or out! Our room was spacious and the street noise was almost non-existent.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
