Hotel is quiet off the hectic path from Bourbon Street. Rooms are cozy, but just what I needed for the one nite stay. Staff was very friendly. I felt very safe staying at this location. Adjacent to the La Galerie is a restaurant which is very convenient.

We expected more of this place. It's an old building with very little work done. The carpet is filthy, smells humid, bathrooms are old and uncomfortable. Very poor customer service . There are more hotels in the area that are worth the price.

Quality well below US standard; not worth the money, at all. Dirty room and premises, worn-out facilities (carpet, bed-covers, electrical appliances...), very unprofessional personnel. Definitely, the worst hotel I've been to in the US.

I found the location and price of this hotel to be an excellent opportunity to be in the French Quarter without being noisy or too expensive. I was able to access all areas of the district by foot, which met my expectations.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel is at the edge of The French Quarter and only 2 blocks from Harrah's Casino. The staff was professional and friendly, the property was clean, the price was fair, and the room was very quiet. I would recommend this hotel.

The lobby, restaurant and gallery were welcoming and the front desk staff were accommodating. The room was nice but due to construction we were woken up rather early every morning. The hotel has a great location but it seemed over priced when comparing other options. We reserved our room through a third party reservation app that wasn't integrated with the...

David at the Front Desk was an absolute delight. He did everything in his power to make sure our stay was comfortable, and he was great with our kids. All the other staff we interacted with were nice as well. The lobby has been updated and looks amazing, but the guest rooms are not in the best shape. The windows...

I booked a room with "La Galerie" for a 5-days conference in New Orleans. The hotel is very nice, offered everything I needed. Nice cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood. Staff was very helpful. The bar/restaurant just beside the hotel (Huck Finn's) has great options for dinner and good wines.

The location is excellent as its in the quarter. Surprising how quiet it was considering the location. Also liked the fact that thereally is a restaurant adjacent to the property. I would also say you should book early as this is a really good deal. They fill up fast.

Property is small but adequate. Location is great and the staff is great close to restaurants, shopping, and Bourbon Street Very overpriced on this week end. Parking is atrocious. Will check this hotel each time we go but will not pay the high rate again.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
