Upon check in for some reason when I checked in they only had 1 night when I showed my email confirmation it clearly showed 2. Also I had 3 adult women and they had us with one bed and no 2 beds left. Needles to say I was upset. Manager came over and was wonderful and upgrades us to a...

We stayed at the Marriott for a conference. As usual, Marriott was a quality place to stay. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The location was great. We were a short walk from Bourbon St, the aquarium, and Riverwalk. There was a streetcar stop across the street, making the Garden District and City Park easily accessible. The...

... with prices like Marriott (and no microwave). The rooms are small and lack adequate drawer space (only two shallow drawers for the whole room). There was no remote for the TV when we arrived, the ice machine on our floor was out of service for three days, and the breaker feeding our bathroom lights and plugs tripped. Turns out...

This hotel is nice, good for a conference. You do have to pay for internet, which always annoys me at a huge hotel like this. But - the elevator system is so strange & frustrating. Patrons enter the floor they need & are assigned to one of about 8 elevators, which is a system I've experienced at other hotels. The...

Very nice hotel, close to all attractions and restaurants. Perfect ambience. Parking a bit pricey, but worth it. You don't need to drive, everything within walking distance. Plan to return again soon!

Stayed at 3 different hotels of all types during my stay in New Orleans and this hotel was definitely my favorite. From the moment I walked through the front doors the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Whitney Patton at the front desk was super friendly, professional, and got us a great room to our liking with a beautiful view....

We stayed two nights here, one at the beginning and one at the end of a cruise. Rooms were right in the French Quarter with easy walking to attractions, trolleys right across the street and plenty of restaurants. Rooms were clean, comfortable and had amazing views. Price is kind of on the high side, but comparable with other hotels in...

This hotel is steps to everything in French quarter. Beds are super comfy, now i really want Marriott pillows and comforter))) Everything you want just steps outside. For us it was very critical since the weather was 28 degrees with freezing wind, which us not very common. We had a great time and would totally go back.

We stayed at the Marriott over Christmas and had a lovely time. The hotel is clean and well maintained with all the modern conveniences. On our first night they even had a hot chocolate bar set up! The staff was great and helpful at every turn. We enjoyed the location of the hotel as it straddled the French Quarter and...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
