Go right and it's a couple of blocks to Bourbon street. Make a left and it's a couple of blocks to Harrah's, the Riverfront, and the Royal Street shops are Just around the corner. Location, location, location!!!! Great hotel, with a super view of the French Quarter and the Mississippi River. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

Afternoon Michael, Hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend. Thank you for posting on tripadvisor I appreciate our guests taking time to share their experiences. Besides the great location and awesome views from our rooms, just want you to know that we are in the process of renovating all of our rooms, with about one-third complete at this point. Take care...

This is very large hotel and as a consequence it is rather impersonal. Stayed here for two nights. We had a large spotlessly clean and comforable room with a fantatic view towards the river. There is free wi fi in reception which we used. The hotel is well located for the French Quarter and a pre cruise stay. We did...

Moscowgaff, thank you for taking the time to share your experience on tripadvisor. I'm glad you enjoyed the beautiful view from your room and an exceptionally clean room. That said, I was a bit disturbed to read that we came across as impersonal. My apologies and please know that I will share your impression with my team and we will...

this is an excellent hotel for convenient access to the French Quarter. Also a great convention hotel as the convention center is very large and accommodating. One problem in the convention area is the lack of wi-fi resources for electronic devices. It is too far away to connect to the guest account and there is no way to connect to...

I stayed here in mid-November for a conference. This is a huge property with all the business amenities you'd expect at a Marriott. They are in the midst of a remodel. My room was a bit used looking with chipped paint on the bathroom door and molding but was exceptionally clean. The bathroom is on the small side but it...

I stayed at this hotel with my husband for a conference during mid November. Being on Canal and just a few blocks from Bourbon St, the hotel was in a great location for walking to a variety of restaurants and sights. Also, the hotel was able to accommodate two large conferences occurring at once without feeling over-crowded. The lobby was...

Honest to Goodness, I really appreciate your taking the time to write and I was thrilled that you enjoyed the lobby and Starbucks (I happen to be a Starbucks junkie myself). I also appreciate your letting me know about the issue you had with Housekeeping. We will certainly address. As for the dated rooms, we are ten weeks into a...

The location of the New Orleans Marriott is so convenient to the French Quarter, the casino, the riverfront, Aquarium of the Americas, River Walk, Canal Street and the street car line. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
