Extremely friendly staff from the valet to housekeeping. Well kept rooms, quick service even on the busiest of days. Many restaurants near by and attractions within waliking distance including Jackson Square, the river front, shopping, Casinos, Bourbon St., Insectarium, and carriage rides. The parking is valet only and around $40 per day with tax.

We were at the Marriott for a convention. It is very conveniently located--right in the French Quarter, close to the riverfront, the aquarium, and the casino. We were on the river side, fifteen floors up. Our room was remarkably quiet, despite the fact that there was a jazz festival going on and trains ran along the river. Our room was...

Enjoyed this Marriott again for a multiple night stay combining business and pleasure. Arrived during the French Quarter festival, so the location provided easy access for lots of good fun thru the weekend and easy access to work in town. From a high floor the view of the Mississippi was fantastic! The new M lounge in the lobby was a...

Very nice hotel, excellent room layout and service, staff was extremely helpful and courteous. I would recommend a high level floor room with a view of the river, absolutely beautiful scene at both sunset and sunrise.

The Marriott is on the edge of the French Quarter and it is convenient to Bourbon Street, the French Quarter and Canal Street and the Green Line (St. Charles Avenue trolley to the Garden District). Lots of rooms, The M Club is handy and has an extensive breakfast buffet. Terrence at the Concierge Desk is terrific--very helpful!

The room we had for a weekend getaway was small, with the cost of the room I would have expected a bit better and more spacious room. I think it is more for convention than personal stays and would not stay here again. The staff was good, but seemed to be constantly overwhelmed with the number of people.

The hotel is well located right on the french quarter area. Nearby the Mississipi river. That means you can easily walk around. It was mardi gras season, so the hotel was already packed with people, but it was very organized. Staff was friendly and polite, from doorman to the front desk and the ladies at the restaurant while having breakfast....

This is a very large hotel; lots of business travelers. Attended a professional conference and the facilities and service were good. The hotel is right on the edge of the French Quarter so if you like that the location is great. Also, just a block from Harrah's Casino. My room was spacious and clean. Hotel reception was very nice. When we showed up our room had an issue with the accommodations. The manager stepped in and upgraded us for the 2 nights prior to our cruise to a suite and a room credit. He turned a potential major issue into exceeding our expectations!!!! Great job. I forgot his name but it was the nights of 3/31 and 4/1/2017... Great...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
