What a great stay! Beautiful room with a shared balcony, pool, small breakfast, and great recommendations on where to go. Desk clerks were amazing and very helpful. Would recommend to friends. Easy walk to Frenchmans or Bourbon Streets. Secure building with on-site gated pay parking. Never once felt compromised.

We felt very accepted from the employees and right at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms are unique and beautiful. If you like the cookie cutter type hotels this is not for you. Perfect placement, close enough to the quarter that everything is walking distance but far enough to get peace and quiet when needed. Very clean and...

Check in was a smooth process. The front desk never told me there would be a 150 dollar hold on my card when I checked in. The lighting by my room was not working therefore it was really dark. Timothy was a great man. He was very helpful with anything that was needed. He went above and beyond to provide...

We were greeted very warmly with hugs and a full run-down of the mansion upon our arrival. Service was always friendly. The daily Happy Hour is a bonus! We didn't get to use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting. Staff was available 24/7. Location is excellent and it's walkable everywhere; just be aware that you may need a...

sistarae, We are looking forward to having you come back to introduce your friends to the mansion! We love to see that you were impressed enough with the property to share it with others. The bar across the street does host some of the best down-home, local musicians in the city. I'm sorry that you found them distracting, though--next time...

Hotel was wonderful. Definitely would stay here again when in town! The staff were all so helpful and made check-in and check-out easy. Everything was walking distance so location was great. Totally had the charm I wanted.

Efontillas, We're happy you found the mansion--it seems like it was destiny!! When you're looking for just the right balance between the casual southern charm of an old house and the attention and service of your favorite hotels, we seem to really fit the bill. We pride ourselves on our ability to play both sides of the table. And we're...

joshualG3017BQ, Happy Anniversary!!! The mansion LOVES romance! I'm so glad you found us and stayed with us for your special day. It is the least we can do to be sure the house is ship-shape for our visitors, but the memories... the friendly vibes... that's what we really like to share. Maybe we can make regulars out of you... Not far away from everything - but quiet in the night. Very nice and friendly service. Some rooms have old furniture but everything was clean. Breakfast is typical Continental - not much choice but enough to start the day.

Beautiful place just needs more friendly staff to greet the guest. Someone should explain the history of the Melrose Manison and make the guest feel welcome when the arrive. Two people are as important as a large wedding party.

sunnydj2017, I hate to imagine you weren't provided a proper greeting and introduction to the property. We strive to ensure every guest feels welcome and comfortable as the house does serve so nicely as a "home away from home". I am, however, glad that you enjoyed the property. Perhaps you'll consider coming back and staying with us again. Thank you...

The home is a beautiful old Victorian mansion converted inside to very spacious rooms. the staff were great. It is like entering a home rather than a hotel. Everyone went out of their way to be friendly. The room was huge and very clean. It probably is one of the quietest places in the French Quarter with tree lined streets and...

ellenmr2017, And what trees and homes they are, indeed! Such a fabulous neighborhood. It's so nice to know you appreciated the charm of Esplanade Avenue. It's been said to be our best asset. As for the staff, we couldn't be prouder to hear such gracious compliments. Come back and visit again soon, then.
