This hotel is within easy walking distance of many of the main attractions of New Orleans, situated in the French Quarter with its lively night life and restaurants close to the Mississippi River with steam boats, close to the French Market, St Louis cathedral, museums and Canal Street with its trams. Beautiful roof top pool with spectacular views over the...

The bellmen, parking attendants, housekeeping, food service delivery staff provided friendly, prompt service and were very helpful. I enjoy visiting New Orleans because of the overall service and OMNI certainly delivered wonderful service. The French Quarter location of the hotel was excellent. Omni was walking distance to restaurants, shopping, etc. My spouse took a cab to the convention center for...

After a rocky check in because the room we had thought was held for us was booked we got another room which was nice but probably not as nice as the first. We got a petite king which was small for the cost and our expectations. On the up side it was quiet ,dark in am, and good bed so we slept...

Wonderful hotel with all the charm and class of what you expect from an Omni hotel - but with the history and style you expect in the French Quarter. We stay here every time we come to NOLA and will continue this tradition.

Had to wait over 3 hours to check in because they were short one housekeeping person, according to the Loyalty Ambassador, and the previous guest had requested a late check out. Requested a call back from the Manager which I never received. Bathroom was extremely small. Not much for the price. Last time we'll be staying here.

The hotel is located a 5 minute walk to the Mississippi waterfront and approx. 15 minute walk to Frenchman Street. The hotel is in a fairly quiet location across from the federal courthouse. It has a great rooftop patio and bar/pool area for a relaxing with a nice view over the French Quarter and the Mississippi. Lots of great restaurants...

This hotel was booked as part of a Delta vacations package. Much to our surprise it was fabulous! Very elegant, beautiful lobby. We had a king suite. The view was not much as we overlooked a rooftop but the room made up for it. It was enormous. We were treated like royalty. We most certainly would return.

I would be very proud of the staff at the Royal Orleans if I were Mr. Pearse. He has a winner. EVERYONE seems genuinely dedicated to making the guest feel special. Julie Yates and all the staff did a wonderful job as has been our experience every time we visit. The hotel is truly the last traditional CLASS ACT left...

Omni Royal Orleans offered convenient location, and loads of amenities. The staff is gracious and really makes you feel at home from the second you arrive outside the front entrance. There is a restaurant downstairs where we had an excellent meal, and the lobby bar was fun and relaxing for cocktails. For American standards, the room is small. If you...

Ideal, quiet location in the French Quarter. Just a few minutes walk to many restaurants, bars and Jackson Square. Rooms are decorated in warm hues and nice amenities are provided (I especially like the lotion). Surprisingly, there was a lack of drawer space. I packed all my clothes in a carry on bag and there was not enough space to...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
