The hotel is very well situated, only a short way to the French Quarter and approx. 10 minutes to the Riverwalk. The lobby is big and loud with a round bar area in the middle and ample space to sit and eat something from the well assorted menue. Unfortunately, when we were there, most of the tables were used by...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 1 week ago via mobile

The room is very neat and tidy the only thing missing was a mini refrigerator. Wish there had been one since the serving portions at most restaurants were more than I could enjoy at one sitting. The lounge and bar area was inviting however the staff was spotty. Not guarantee a personality with the bartenders, some had one and others...

We were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary and Zuriel on the Front Desk who checked us in went out of her way to make us feel very special. A cake with champagne, chocolate strawberries and a handmade card, (Zuriel had made the card herself). The hotel room, location and facilities were amazing. Thoroughly recommend this Hotel. We have just finished...

This is our go-to hotel every time we stay in NOLA. Great location. Great rooms. Great service. The view from our high-floor, floor to ceiling window is always wonderful! A first this time, we used the pool, and our 4-year-old loved it. We did have some problems at check-in, but everyone was polite and worked hard to fix. We had...

We had a meeting here and spent 5 nights. This hotel caters to meetings and does a very good job. The food served along with our meeting was way above average for conference food. The location in downtown was very convenient to everything. The rooms were nice and we had a great river view. The Pelican Bar and lounge area was...

The hotel is right opposite the French Quarter. The staff at reception were friendly and quick to give us a map and recommendations of restaurants in the area. We were on the 33rd floor and loved the view over the town, especially at night even if it wasn’t over the river. I was under the impression I had to pay...

We were unaware this was a pet friendly hotel. They were so generous with us by changing our room so I could access an elevator that would not be used by dogs. Only draw back is animals are allowed in ANY room opposed to designated rooms. If you have allergies or are afraid of dogs this could ruin your stay....

First just want to say I did not stay here. But I spent a lot of time in the conference facilities and just wanted to post about it for those planning or contemplating this hotel for your meeting. In a word - meh. Dated decor, tired and damaged corners, wall and door frames, bad lighting. We had a series of...

Thank you for your review and compliment about our Pelican Bar staff. We agree that our location is prime amongst hotels in New Orleans. We are sorry that you were not pleased with our conference facilities and with over 100,000 square feet of meeting space things can sometimes get busy if all meetings break at once, causing elevator wait times...

The good: this hotel has a great location. It is just few blocks from Jackson Square. The facilities are nice and our room was very clean. The doormen, the concierge, and the bellhops were great. The bad: Our room was not ready at check-in. That wasn't a problem, but we were told that they would call us when the room...

Thank you for your review. We appreciate that you were able to enjoy our excellent location, lovely hotel and gracious staff. We apologize that you were not notified by the Front Desk when your room was available and that feedback has been shared with our Director of Front Office to address in training. We stayed at the Sheraton for two nights and the hotel itself was perfect with a grand foyer and a nice cool bar just near check in. The staff were really friendly when we checked in and offered advice on what to do in the area. The room was big and spacious with the most comfortable bed. The location was...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
