We stayed for three days. It was very nice and busy. We were close to Bourbon street, within easy walking distance. The room's were nice. We upgraded to the club room. It was nice also. Complimentary breakfast And dinner as well as snacks, soda's water etc. The staff was polite and helpful. We had no issues. I would call myself a seasoned...

This was the second time I choose to stay here. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean, staff friendly. Great location. Only complaint was how expensive the parking was. Other than that, it was a great stay!

Overall a nice hotel with decent facilities - hardware wise. The front desk person was not up to par for a Sheraton standard though - she was more interested in finishing up the task of checking me in order to go talk to her colleague. Questions asked were brusquely answered. BTW, one of my key cards did not work and...

This is a nice hotel with nice rooms however I gave a low rating because of the noisy doors. Some hotels have doors that close more quitely than others and this hotel they are loud and frequent in the daytime when maids are cleaning. The night was ok. Room 3425

Had to make a quick business trip to New Orleans and this was one of the few Starwood hotels that had availability & I was willing to stay at (the former W hotel on Poydras is a nightmare, still owned by Starwood, but embarrassed by how terrible it is so they took the W off of it). One thing is...

Staying at a business hotel when a large conference is in town is always going to test its ability to hit its pre-billed star rating. Arriving late in the evening, I checked in and having traveled to the 34th floor my room key didn't work. I traveled back up and again it failed. Unimpressed, I went back down to the...

Great location, great room, great service, great bar! Hopefully everyone knows I really enjoyed my stay. The elevators were great, never had to wait and we were on one of the top floors. Also they arranged our tours in house, no hassles. I wanted to stay in one of the small boutique hotels but my wife over ruled me and...

I could walk to Bourbon Street and wander all the side streets with ease. The food served in all 3 restaurants of this hotel was outstanding. My room was quiet, comfortable and the staff competent and customer service oriented.

You might think a big chain hotel on the main drag (Canal Street) would be noisy and have no charm. It's quiet and the comforts of a modern hotel suit us better than the quaint, sometimes cramped quarters of older places. Give me free WIFI! And we loved the swift system where you enter the floor desired and directed to...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
