I'm torn with this review because I really did like my room and the second floor balcony area. My room had all the necessities - bathroom toiletries, a hairdryer, a keurig with coffee and tea options, and bottled water. I arrived at my hotel later in the day and the area was abandoned, so I was concerned about safety as...

Let's get this out of the way first: it's a historic building and some of the rooms are very small! We stayed for 3 nights in a ground floor 'deluxe' double. Although small it was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful with advice and getting reservations. At the reception desk, there's complimentary bottled water,...

This will be our "go-to" hotel whenever we visit New Orleans. The rooms were just what we expected as far as size, layout and comfort. The only reason the review is a four (4) instead of a five (5) is that the water took a significant amount of time to get from the boiler to the faucet. I figure it's...

Thank you for making our stay alot of fun. We loved the room, the service, the location. We can not wait to go back to New Orleans and stay at your place again. It was so close to the action, and yet so quiet at night.

We had a room with a balcony and it was cute and clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing and kind and helpful. We will definitely be back next year when I come to sing for a Jazz Fest event. Book this place!

We stayed at this charming inn for three nights. We had a ground-level room, so we can't speak for the balcony view, but our room was nice for somewhere comfortable to sleep at night. It was quiet two of the three nights, but Friday night the bar across the street was a bit loud. I imagine that's to be expected...

Great hotel very clean, one of the rooms was quite small for 2 people but would have been just fine for a single person. Excellent service, staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Location was great, safe and just 2 blocks from bourbon street! If I ever get back to New Orleans I would definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and close to all the action without the associated noise and trash. Safe and secure. Absolutely would return and happily recommend this charming, historic spot. I feel lucky to have found it!

Stayed here for 4 nights. Stayed in a two bedroom suite with an other couple. Had outside access to the balcony through the full length sash window. The suite was large enough for us all. It had 2 bedrooms as well as a separate lounge room with a 3 seater sofa and one lounge chair. The "kitchen" table had 2...

My husband and myself had a wonderful weekend. Wouldn't change a thing, except for missing shower curtain! (I left my (underwear) panties in top drawer of dresser which television was on). Other than that, we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
