This grand old hotel is in an excellent location for walking throughout the French Quarter and it's only about two blocks from the streetcar line. It's history in New Orleans is unmatched, as was the impeccable service we received from the staff during our 5 night visit over Halloween weekend. Although the hotel was sold out that weekend and quite...

Worst part was dreadful unacceptable customer service. Restaurant times are wrong in the room binders & the reservation website, which made for a dreadful last night. The staff (front desk & restaurant) could not have cared less. Room service was very bad in almost every aspect except the woman who takes your order is pleasant. Not a big deal but...

Stayed here for a week in December 2016 and have a great time. The holiday decorations were stunning and since the bar is so popular there was always a lot of activity there and in the lobby which made it fun. Highly recommend!

A great experience! The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, attractive and the price was reasonable. The lobby and the hotel bar were always bustling with activity! I guess just like I imagined a NOLA hotel to be! I thought it was a great location to stay!

We can't say enough good things about this hotel. This was our first time to New Orleans. We are not party people, we came for the WWII Museum and to see what the city is all about. Hotel Monteleone was AMAZING. From the excellent stop and comfy beds, pillows, towels and cleanliness of the room to the outstanding staff and...

It has been many years since I have been to New Orleans and came here for a conference at the Hotel Monteleone and I loved it. The entire experience was outstanding. The hotel is beautiful, the entire staff was so helpful. While there is so much great food in New Orleans I ate at the restaurant 3 times and all...

If you want the best hotel experience in New Orleans, book your stay at the Hotel Monteleone. One word comes to mind when I think if my recent stay there and that word is SERVICE! Stayed here for my wife's birthday weekend. Classy old school hotel with excellent service. Carousel Bar is where the French Quarter begins. Sazeracs and jazz. Live music Friday night featured Lena Prima. We will definitely come back.

Went to the Monteleone for two nights on a wonderful weather weekend in February. The highlight of the hotel for me was the roof pool. I spent a few hours relaxing in the sunshine with palm trees before heading back to the fun insanity of the French Quarter on a pre-Mardi Gras weekend. Only thing which would have made it...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
