Stayed here one night after a cruise. Had an interior room with 2 queens. Beds were comfy. Highly recommend the interior rooms for those that hate lights at night! Very quiet. Nice spacious bathroom. Kuering coffee in the lobby...far better than the tiny pots in the room which I never use. Parking is pricey, we were lucky and scored a... More

We stayed Thanksgiving weekend. The location was good for us as we walked everywhere we went. Very comfortable bed and the housekeeping was great. The desk person on days was very pleasant and helpful with everything we needed. The night person not so much. We would and probably will stay here again.

As first timers in New Orleans we wanted a hotel that was central, comfortable and not too noisy. The Pelham ticked all of these boxes. The room was spacious, the bathroom a good size and the location great. The foyer was tiny but I didn't think that this detracted from the hotel at all. The entrance into the Ruby Slipper... More

Stayed here with my husband for 3 nights and had a lovely time. I've read other reviews about the no window thing, but luckily, our room had two huge windows on the 1st floor. Very charming southern decor, small room, large bathroom, kind of dark (only lamps without overhead lighting which is why I have it 4 vs 5 stars),... More

This hotel was a great little surprise, very spacious room and bathroom. Had a double room that had built in drawers and a large closet. So close to all the good spots in Nola...French Quarter, Harrah's and Jackson Square.

I'm from New Orleans and had not heard of this little hotel and it was great to stay there. It's close to the Convention Center, kind and friendly staff, easy walking through downtown area, and room was nice. It was much more affordable than the surrounding hotels which made this ideal as well.

We stayed for 3 nights. We were lucky and got one of the 3 free parking spots out front. If you miss out on that, it's 35 dollars a night for valet. The tax for each night is outrageous but still comes out cheaper than surrounding hotels. It's located pretty much on Decatur St. and if you walk that, it... More

We stayed at this property for five nights while on a business trip/conference. The room itself, while small was very comfortable and quiet. The high ceiling make the room feel bigger than it was. There were plenty of power outlets for our computers, phones, etc. The hotel itself has no food options at all, but there is a breakfast diner... More

Just like any other hotel. In my opinion most if not all hotels are severely overpriced!! $189 - $242 per night!! Never have figured out what the difference is between a thursday night rate and Friday rate?? Pluses - Safe in the room for valuables, Valet parking (not optional) $35 a night unlimited access. Minuses - Beds were very hard... More

The Pelhum Hotel is a older hotel, lobby and hallways are freshly done. The rooms are small (I had a king size room facing the street). The bathroom was not at all as pictured on the website. There was a pedestal sink and a very small wicker table for your personal items. Very cramped for two people to use. Front... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
