We spent 5 days in this hotel for a conference and my first disappointment wasn't really the hotel's fault - our cab couldn't drive to the door because the street was pedestrian only and we had to walk from the corner of the block dragging our suitcases. Not really sure what the answer to this problem might be but it...

Thank you for taking the time to bring these observations to our attention. For your next stay you may direct your driver to enter the hotel garage from Bienville Street (instead of Bourbon) and drop you at our lower lobby entrance so you can easily take your luggage in the elevator directly to our main lobby. We are sorry that...

Beautiful hotel, best location, such great staff. But during a 4 night stay our room was serviced once. The room was empty each day for at least 5 hours. There is a Privacy door tag but no service room tag. So when we were out by 10 and back at 3 and AGAIN no service, it was a disappointment. I...

We apologize for the level of service you received from members of our housekeeping staff during your stay. This is certainly not indicative of the manner in which we intend to operate our facility. Our hotel strives to exceed guest expectations by providing the highest level of customer service possible. Unfortunately, in your case we fell short of our goal....

I wanted to like this hotel. I had seen so many pictures, and on my first trip to New Orleans, I wanted to stay here. Even though many of my friends warned me away from staying right IN the French Quarter, I still wanted to stay here. Okay so let me start by saying that the staff there was SUPERB!...

Thank you for choosing to stay at our hotel and taking the time to bring these observations to our attention. We are sorry that your room did not meet your expectations, but please know that an exciting hotel-wide renovation is planned for next year and will touch each room from top to bottom. And two of our elevators have just...

I will definitely stay here next time I visit...too many other hotels are haunted. LoL! We did not have the pleasure of...

Where else but Bourbon Street will you find a Four Star hotel just down from 2 strip clubs??? This hotel is the perfect location to all the bars, clubs, restaurants, and the action! The hotel itself it very old New Orleans. The balcony, the court yard, the lobby, it's what you think a hotel in New Orleans should look like....

My husband had a business trip to N.O. during our Anniversary. Since we honeymooned 35 years ago at the Royal Sonesta, we decided to stay 3 extra nights and celebrate in N.O. Iconic Bourbon Street balconies in the heart of the action. Comfortable room. Excellent closet / storage space. Enclosed pool and courtyard was lovely and well lit for evening gatherings. Attended an event. Room space great, warm, friendly and with a sense of history. Great balcony views up and down Bourbon Street. Just a real pity that it was so cold. Still retains an elegance and therefore deserves its reputation even though the locale is very neon and plastic.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
