We went to see Romy K at the Royal Sonesta jazz club on Friday. We were given a very warm welcome by Daniel Franco who is the beverage manage at the Royal Sonesta. We had a wonderful evening and the show is a treat. You do not need to reservation but it helps. Daniel run a very tight show and...

Dear RomiKanungo, As you likely know, The Jazz Playhouse is popular with both locals and visitors of the French Quarter and the jazz and festive energy that bleeds out onto Bourbon Street is nothing short of infectious. We are delighted that you and yours enjoyed your time with us and we thank you for the wonderful comments regarding Daniel and...

The local is in the middle of the "action" at Bourbon St, which also means will be quite noisy if you choose a room facing to the street. Even the rooms facing in interior court 'suffer' from some noise from the restaurants and jazz located inside the hotel. What this means? If you are the type that gets to bed...

This hotel has ample amenities like fitness center, pool, and coffee shop in house. If you'd actually like to sleep at night, ask for a room not on the bourbon st side; all of the rooms are spacious, updated, and clean. Nice to be right in the fun but have an option for quieter room.

This hotel is right in the mix on Bourbon Street! Our room was nice, overlooking the pool/courtyard. The noise from the late night revelers did not affect us...at all. As we were there with kids, I appreciated the side entrance so we could avoid Bourbon Street all together if we chose. We booked a couple of tours through the concierge,...

It is with regret that I report the club level room that my wife and I stayed in this passed weekend did not meet my expectations. Compared to the Ritz or Windsor (similar rates), the experience was poor/average. The Club area's furnishings were stale and hard. Similar to the Best Western. The food was average; however, coffee was good. Room...

This is a great place in a prime location! We loved the pool view outside our balcony. The restaurants were awesome. The rooms were well decorated and seemed to be recently done. The fitness center was large and up to date. We will most likely stay here again when in NOLA.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
