I stayed here in the last week of May of 2012. I also stayed here august 2010. This is a great hotel and location. The hotel is located half a block off of Bourbon St. and 15 minute walk to anywhere in New Orleans. The room I recently stayed in was nice. The only problem I had with room was...

My husband and I reserved a room at the Prince Conti Hotel for four days because it was in an excellent location in the French Quarter within walking distance of everything we wanted to do and see. Also, we found a very good discounted rate by going directly to the hotel’s web page. We had room 353 which was in...

Two of my friends and I stayed here for a birthday getaway. This hotel was in a great location, you could walk to Bourbon street, yet hear no noise from the hotel. It was affordable, clean, and had character. What made my stay most enjoyable was the staff. We hadn't noted when making reservations that a first floor room was...

I attended a workshop at Royal Senesta but could not afford the rates for the three nights the meeting lasted. I looked for a cheaper alternative nearby. Prince Conti served the purpose and was decent enough but the facilities especially the rugs do need to be changed as they are way too old and worn. The rooms were comfortable enough...

Initially there was confusion over not being able to find our reservation. Took awhile to resolve. Generally, the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was small but clean. The mattress was not comfortable. The Bombay Club (on sight) has a relaxing atmosphere. We ate there as part of a wedding party. The food was good, not great but the...

My husband and I visited during the week. Paid about $65 per night. Location was great and we never heard any noise from Bourbon Street. We didn't have high expectations for the size of the room or bathroom given the age of the hotel. Hotel and room had a lot of character. My biggest complaint: the mattress was AWFUL and...

Just stayed for 4 nights here. Clean room-Great location and value-Quiet, despite being close. Friendly staff. Cafe on-site had good crepes for breakfast and Bombay Club had extensive, classic cocktail menu.

I can’t really add too much to what’s been posted in the past. I found the staff to be very helpful. The rooms were clean but the walls are thin meaning you can hear quite a bit of what’s going on outside of the rooms. I will say the mattresses, pillows and TVs could use an upgrade, at least in...

Everything about this hotel is wonderful and reasonable except there are no saucers in the cafe. The nice server brought me a dinner plate! It isn't cute or charming a la bread tossed on the table. It is messy and unsightly. We live the place, but are boycotting it until we have saucers!

This hotel is very close to Bourbon without all the noise of Bourbon St. The rate we got for our petite room was awesome. The staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had. The room was very clean and nice.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
