This quaint, clean, quiet hotel was perfectly place for us to walk everywhere during our visit to New Orleans. Even though it is in the middle of the clubs and nightlife, it is peaceful. The pool was a joy to cool off after a day walking. The valet parking was super convenient and well worth the cost, though the cost...

If you like the French Quarter this hotel has an excellent location as Bourbon Street is at the next intersection and it's a short walk to Jackson Square, St Louis cathedral, the French Market the River Walk, etc. The room was adequate, the bed clean and comfortable, the furniture rather battered, the A/C feeble and not working at all one night....

We met in NOLA with our son and friends for my daughter in law's birthday. Aaron checked us in, and he was wonderful. I had purchased a birthday cake and asked Aaron for a knife and napkins and he was very nice, brought everything to us in the pool area. Our room overlooked the pool and it was very nice,...

Hotel was fine. Wow. The female bartender was crabby and rude. The claim is that they aren't part of the hotel but..... She was rude. We tried to order drinks for our wives and she was doing everything to get rid of us. They've had a special all week. Asked for the social at he she checked a menu in...

The Hotel St. Marie is located 1 block off of Bourbon St and literally in the middle of the party zone, but it's still quiet enough to get some sleep when necessary. I have stayed at this hotel at least 7 times over the past 10 years. Every stay I've reserved has been great. I have been greeted by the...

The location is superb. Right on the edge of the French quarter so everything is within a short walking distance, but the hotel is still tucked away in a quiet area. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was a lot larger than I expected for an older hotel. The atrium in the middle with pool was a...

Pros: This hotel is close to everything you'd want to see in NOLA. Great to explore Bourbon Street and close to Frenchman and the downtown. Great view - we stayed on the street side and had a beautiful balcony. A part of me wishes we'd stayed on the side that overlooked the gardens as it would have been more serene...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
