My family and I stayed here for several days and from the moment we entered we had nothing but exceptional customer service. The valet and bell service were great and very warm and checking in was easy. The hotel is right smack in the French Quarter (FQ) and 1/2 block from Bourbon Street and only a short walk to the...

Just returned from three nights at this property. It is awesome; the staff is so warm and kind, the resturant, cafe, and bar are first class. Fresh flowers all around and a beautiful outdoor courtyard. I was in a hugh king room on the second floor with a wrap-around balcony with a view of two streets from the balcony. Steps...

Antoinette at the reservation desk was so helpful and answered all of our questions. There were 2 other gals that were also very helpful but I can't remember their names. We had 3 rooms and had a wonderful time. The gal that worked at desk at night was very helpful also. The cafe in the hotel is very good. The...

We were pleasantly surprised by the quietness of our room particularly with the proximity to all the action on Bourbon St. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size. There was a musty smell - probably due to the bits of mold around the window. It wasn't overwhelming and likely a common problem for the climate. The...

I was looking forward to staying in this beautiful old hotel. When we arrived the front desk manager was not at all friendly, just asked my name, had me sign and gave me the key. He may have said 10 words. I asked were to go for valet and he did answer that. The bellman and valet were both exceptionally...

I've been coming to this hotel for 2years and this would be probably be the only hotel I stay at. I've received excellent customer service from Travis at the Front desk to the people in the kitchen. Travis made sure my stay has always been perfect and if I had any problem he attended to them immediately. I would recommend...

We have stayed at Hotel St Marie at least a dozen times. It is such a great place to stay, so close to Bourbon with such accommodating staff especially Travis. We come back just because of him. We come every year just because he treats you like family and we absolutely love it. We definitely recommend Hotel St Marie

Rarely do I rate/review hotels unless I have a pleasant stay. I had to make an exception for this hotel. Please, do not trust pictures of this hotel, or the other reviews that are positive. The hotel is a true nightmare. It is beyond dirty. It is absolutely filthy. There was mold on our ceiling, the floors were stained and...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
