I recently stayed at this location for a conference - nice and close to the convention center (a short walk to get you moving in the morning)! The rooms were perfect and spacious, appreciated the full kitchen! The staff here were super friendly, helpful and informative. The breakfast was very convenient and quite a spread, plenty of options and Duane...

This hotel is convenient to walk the 5 blocks for a cruise or convention. There are several Marriotte branded hotels in this area so if one is booked there is another on the next block. Breakfast is good as prepared food goes. This is not a made to order breakfast and it is similar to the Springhill Suites which we...

Great location, was really close to public transit to get to the French Quarter, Garden District, etc. Rooms were really big, comfortable, and very clean. Also, Greta & Duane really took care of us at the breakfast buffet!

I stayed here recently for a family trip. The suites were spacious and the location worked out fine. We were still able to walk to the French Quarters and mall area, etc. We are familiar with the area, so it wasn't hard to navigate. When we visited the breakfast area was very, very, very crowded. The staff seemed to be...

Management response:

Greetings from the Residence Inn! I am glad that you enjoyed your spacious suite as well as our location in the Warehouse/Arts District. I apologize that our breakfast area was so crowded around the holidays. I really appreciate your feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve our product. We hope to host you again if your travels...

My wife and infant children stayed at the Residence Inn over the New Year's holiday. Duane, the hotel cafe manager, was welcoming and very attentive to our family's needs. The entire staff was great, but Duane especially stood out. The Inn is about a 1.5 mile walk to the French Quarter, which is far enough that you can get a...

We picked this hotel since it was with in walking distance of many restaurants and attractions, the warehouse district, while at first seems a little intimidating was very safe and a fun area.. with this being my 1st visit to New Orleans I was not sure what to expect, but i was pleasantly surprised with this hotel room was large...

We stayed here with a large group of teenagers for a tournament. As one would expect there was much mayhem in the mornings before the games. Duane was great at breakfast. Good food, both in variety and quality, and service far beyond what I expect at a free hotel breakfast. If your trip involves the convention center this is a...

This was my first time staying here and I really liked this hotel. The breakfast was so good! Duane and Greta were so great and gave us excellent service!! The eggs were the best eggs I've had in a hotel.

Two adults and a 4-year-old stayed in a 2nd-floor suite on the courtyard. Very musty smell that couldn't be countered by opening windows or using air conditioner. But the breakfast and staff made up for it the best they could. This hotel is not in the French Quarter, which many assume is a given. But the warehouse/downtown district is nice...good...

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
