We had an amazing stay in New Orleans this weekend. This hotel is a great location close to Bourbon Street but far enough away to not be in the midst of the craziness! Joshua was super nice to us and went above and beyond to help me with the jewelry I left at the hotel! Bar and lounge are nice....

I visit New Orleans about twice a year and am really happy to have found this hotel. It is new, just opened last October. The staff is really nice, the rooms are spacious and clean, and it is well located within the downtown area and close to the French Quarter. Devin who worked at the front desk was super nice...

Stayed here for the Rock and Roll Marathon. Reserved well in advance to insure room as we wanted to be close to start. Great location, right by the start line about a 2 minute walk. Large rooms, coffee in the morning, breakfast. Nice large showers and comfortable beds. Right on the edge of the French Quarters and the Downtown Business...

I really liked this hotel. My room on the 5th floor was a queen/queen. I actually liked having the sink outside of the shower/toilet room - plenty of space to spread out. There was also a nice kitchen-ish area. Beds were great. The extra chair was a little awkwardly placed because of the two beds, but I felt the room...

Newly renovated hotel in an old industrial building. Rooms are of decent size, though the bathrooms are a bit small and the placement of the sink outside the bathroom feels a bit weird. The place is very clean though, the lounge and lobby welcoming, the staff friendly, and the free breakfast spread more than ample. Bourbon Street and the French...

I've traveled to New Orleans numerous times, and never stayed at the Fairfield Inn before. This newly renovated property is a gem! Complimentary breakfast provided. And it's only a few blocks from Bourbon Street.

This was a really nice hotel. The employees were really nice, and the rooms and lobby area was very clean. The hotel is a couple blocks from Canal St. and maybe a 10 minute walk to Bourbon St. The area felt very safe and the city views from our 6th floor room were nice. We even had a partial view...

Elegant remodel of an old industrial building. High ceilings, modern design. Tranquil. Great Breakfast. 346 Blu bar was very welcoming with a limited but delicious dinner selection. Spacious open reception area, great for lounging.

Our group of four ladies enjoyed a weekend getaway at the Fairfield. The recently renovated hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff gave excellent advice on restaurants, transportation, and activities. The bar staff was amazing...the chocolate martini is not to be missed! We had some challenges with hot water in one room and...

Unaware of the Sugar Bowl, we booked this hotel for the New Years Celebrations in the French Quarter and quickly became aware of the crowded city with football fans. However, the hotel located in the business district, a few blocks from the French Quarter remained semi quiet and a good value for the time of year for us. We loved...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
