The hotel was absolutely amazing, the room we received was exactly on the picture! The staff were very friendly and professional. We had a few hiccups, but nothing that was too too bad, the location was excellent as it wasn't too far from the center but just far enough where you weren't constantly being woken up by noise! The only...

The hotel is cute and so are the rooms. The hallways are a little dirty. The hotel bar is great and the staff is friendly. Our room was overlooking Barcadia so it was noisy until about 3am. Quick walk to the casino and a short walk to Bourbon Street.

I stayed in this hotel during my business trip to New Orleans. The location is good because it is almost at the middle point between the Convention center and the French Quarter. The air of the hotel is also very good and fitted very well with that of New Orleans. Staffs are very friendly and coffee here is really very...

I stayed at Old No. 77 for 4 nights for a conference held in the convention center. It is conveniently located, within 10 min walk to my conference. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a nice experience. A couple of things that I hope it could be better: 1. Maybe...

Great food, real bar tenders who know what they're doing, warm welcoming, rooms are spacious. Very nice furniture/decoration. Staff is great, knowledgeable and very polite. I will certainly go back to the Old 77 when I'll return to N.O.

An exceptional stay, the artist loft suite was breathtakingly unique. From the furniture to the curated art, it was an exciting, modern space. The front desk staff, though very busy, always came through. The Bell/Valet team were cheerful and always went the extra mile. These guys are the first and last impression we had of the hotel and their positivity...

A very interesting , historic building. It's centrally located in the Central Business District and within easy walking distance of many attractions. Two blocks from Harrahs, one block from Mother's, and just six blocks from the WWII Museum. The rooms are on the small side but very comfortable. I highly recommend you book a premium room. Very nice. The staff...

This place is really one of a kind and you will either love it or hate it. We stayed here after our flight was canceled and our original hotel was out of rooms. It felt a world away from the french quarter (thought it's actually a short walk), with a whole different vibe to the neighborhood and local restaurants. The...

My wife and I stayed one night at the Old No. 77 Hotel after spending 5 nights in another hotel in the French Quarter. the Old No. 77 is a very trendy hotel with neat features in the rooms, like a frosted door in the bathroom, modern paintings on the walls, and contemporary fixtures and furniture. The rooms themselves are...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
