I enjoyed my stay very much. A very cool, arty vibe, with a wonderful location and affordable. Would absolutely stay here again. The bar and restaurant downstairs were very nice, and for me, the location was ideal--very walkable to the tourist attractions, but not in the middle of the quarter with the noise and crowds. Close to the art galleries,...

Amazing Location and hotel staff. Need to explain the "green room" option. Since I didnt have a mini-bar, would be nice to get same value at regular bar in hotel. Need friendlier bar tenders. Only serving beer/wine and no cocktails after 10PM in NOLA is a travesty. That business just goes elsewhere.....

The Old 77 was a great to hotel to stay at. Friendly staff, very cute decor and excellent food, bar and coffee station. The hotel minibar had a fun assortment of snacks. The airport driver CJ, also gave great service and a entertaining ride. The hotel is also very centrally located to both the French Quarter and the Business district.

I stayed at this hotel for the Essence Festival and really liked it! The hotel was clean, the beds were amazingly comfortable, and the place was quiet. I have sleep issues and wake up often when there is noise. So I was so happy that I could sleep pretty well. We had a room with double beds. The bathroom is...

Great price for the location and quality. Would stay here again. I needed a place last minute and I was able to book this room easily off my phone. I also found a coupon code getting 8% off my booking!

The lights in my room had a short and would randomly turn off and on. Tons of noise in my room from the bar right across from the street level room I was given. The bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been mopped or swept in days

Good experience. Nice hotel, very hip. Lots of art. Was there Superbowl Sunday and that wasn't the best. People screaming all night at the bar's outside the hotel. Monday was much better. Dog friendly which is great. Short walking distance to the river and the river walk. Very pleasant stay. Great location.

Had a great time at this hip little hotel near the French Quarter. It's far enough away from the craziness that it's quiet, but close enough to walk to all of the fun spots. The staff is great, the rooms are fun, and the cocktails are great!

The hotel staff was wonderful, and the hotel was unique. We did have one issue with out side noise. Our room was the corner of the building, on the first floor. We had a bar outside of one window, and a cab stand outside of the other. Trying to sleep before the Rock and Roll Marathon was difficult. I would...

Loved the hotel and our room was great. The only negative thing about our experience was the restaurant. Every time we tried to eat there either they weren't currently serving or they were full for the night. The food was amazing so if you plan on eating there make sure you have a reservation. Everyone at the hotel was really...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
