The hotel is in a quiet residential area. There are public transportations in front of hotel or with a short walking distance, which take you to convention center, French quarter or even airport (with one bus change). The breakfast was very good.

We've always been very satisfied with Hampton Inns, but this one was outstanding. The lobby is large and welcoming, with a nice breakfast served each morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was upgraded and boy were we surprised when we walked in to see a long double sink and extra large tub with jet streams in the...

I have made several visits to New Orleans and, overall, this is the hotel I would choose for my next visit. The location is great - on the edge of the Garden District with a streetcar stop right outside. That makes it easy to get to the French Quarter without all of the crowds and bustle. Inside, the hotel is...

Wonderful staff and very helpful with direction. It was my son's wedding weekend. We stayed Thursday thru Sunday and he stayed Friday night. The room they put the groom is was extremely spacious. Perfect to have the groomsmen meet up and get dressed. The photographer was able to take great pictures of them getting ready.

Great place to stay while visiting New Orleans. Centrally located for transportation and restaurants. The staff of the hotel was most helpful in finding places to go for trips to tour the city and places to eat. It rained the whole time we were there but did not bother us because of the location.

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
