We stayed here as part of a service project to build a school in the area. The owners were very friendly and we're very accommodating. They made us a delicious breakfast every morning, and had water for us whenever we needed to fill our canteens.

This place is very clean and great location just a few minutes walk from the lake. It's better to stay in El Remate than Flores as it's quieter and closer to TIKAL. All rooms have private bathroom. We had small patio area with table and chairs and hammock. We paid $16USD for a twin room. Hotel offers good travel info... More

This is an awesome place to stay. Small and quiet, perfectly located and super clean! Humberto, the owner, is very helpful. He can book your Tikal tour for a great price. Ask him to book Luis, the greatest guide ever! He made our visit to Tikal unforgettable. The hotel is a great value and I will definitely being staying there... More

This was one of the best places we stayed at in terms of cleanliness and friendliness of the family that runs it. It's nice little cabins around a patio. But the outdoor kitchen has nothing but a fridge and a stove, i.e. no sink, no water, no plates, pots, knives... You have to ask to get it, and then return... More

This is a great little place to stay for a few days if your planning on visiting Tikal. The rooms are clean and quiet with hot water, comfy beds and hammocks. The owners are super friendly and very helpful, we forgot our alarm and the owner woke up at 5am to make sure we caught our early bus. Great value... More

Super clean, reasonable and quiet place next to the lake to relax. No wifi though but there's an Internet cafe right next door. They do your laundry for cheap and the owner is a tour guy who know the area very well.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in order to visit Tikal. We hadn't booked a room but were greeted by the owner, who was very friendly and welcoming. We were shown to a lovely spacious double room with bathroom, very clean and with a good fan. The run an early morning shuttle bus to Tikal, which leaves at... More

A lovely budget place to stay with a choice of room types. The room we chose was spotless with a nice shower and a small terrace to sit on. The owner is so friendly and helpful and will arrange transfers or tours to Tikal. Very highly recommended

“All the rooms looked nice and spacious.”

“None of the rooms have a view of the lake and instead look out onto other rooms across the path. A wall has been constructed in front of what would have been the 'lakeside' rooms as the lot in front is being developed and so obscures the view. 'Internal' rooms are therefore a better choice.”
