We stayed at the lodge for a week and will definitely return next time we are in Panama. Jorge and family were great hosts and always helpful and friendly. The resturant is a true gem. Every meal was outstanding from the wonderful fresh fish dishes to the hamburgers and fries. Be sure to leave room for dessert - which is...

I stayed here for two nights, The lodge has four rooms upstairs, two facing the front and two facing the back. I stayed in one facing the back which was roomy and comfortable. One of the rooms in the front acutally is a triple and has one queen size bed and one single bed in it and is therefore a...

Very earthy but friendly, walls are a little thin, but very warm and welcoming. If you want to meet other Americans in Volcan, it's the best place. Don't miss the restaurant, very good cheap food. I would recommend this hotel when you stay in Volcan, Panama

If you are in Volcan, and you need a place to stay...this is it!! It's a rustic b&b, with an intimate feel. Jorge is warm and welcoming, and you feel at home from the moment you step thru the doors. We had no intention of staying in Volcan, as we were just on a day drive to drop off some...

i traveled with a friend who had business in Volcan, for a single night. The entire stay was fabulous. Jorge, and his wife, Vicky, are wonderful hosts, run a very clean and attractive lodge, and the food is simply out of this world. If you are anywhere near Volcan, take the time to visit. It's worth your while!

Excellent service from Jorge and staff. Due to missed emails, we didn't have reservations during the off-season, but all rooms were empty. Good meal at the restaurant. Overall, very good. Loved the balcony for drinks and view. Met some nice people (mostly expats from the States). Volcan is a an easy town to walk around and visit. Had some good...

We stayed at Volcan Lodge for 2 nights. There isn't much to do in this little town if you are just passing through, so this is an ideal place to stay; you have a place to sleep, to drink, and to eat all under one roof. If you haven't done much traveling in central America, you may need to adjust,...

We spent one night here, and we thought it was charming and just perfect for what we needed. The food in the Restaurant Mana was great. The sloppy joe and hamburgers were great. Jorge and Vickie were super friendly and helpful. The room was simple, but very clean with a private bathroom. The lodge has a comfortable, rustic atmosphere. The...

I really liked this place. Stayed for about 5 days back in July 2011.. It felt like we were staying at our cottage back in Muskoka, Canada or perhaps at ski lodge. VERY clean, no bugs. Jorge and his family are very hospitable and accommodating. Consistent food and service in the great onsite restaurant. I think we ate there almost...

We didn't stay at this lodge, but know of it since we live in Panama. We visited Mana Restaurant for lunch while our family was visiting. Having known Vicky and Jorge and their culinary expertise and desire to please, we were again pleasantly astonished at what a great lunch we all enjoyed. Three of us ordered curried fish; I had...
