My wife and I have been travelling quite a bit with our daughter and without a doubt this may have been one of if not the best family vacation we have ever had. We met some friends here as well and were given a list of things to do from one of the hotel staff and everything did somehow was better than the last. The hotel itself is in the perfect location. There is a room to store gear so your not dragging it into and through your room. There are ski hills and rental shops all within walking distance. Food, bars, and an after ski spot again all within a 5 minute walk. Right across the street is a beautiful house that has a restaurant inside and offers carriage rides up the mountain to a secluded restaurant and if your reading this you have to do the carriage ride. It is an absolute must. Oh and it includes breakfast and dinner. And this isn't some holiday inn continental meal. The dinner quality is better than most restaurants, serious gourmet quality stuff that left all of us still talking about it weeks later. We are already planning our next trip around coming back here and doing it all again.

Spent two nights with my family for short ski holiday. Hotel hs fantastic location, is super clean and rooms are spacious, modern and look like they where renovated yesterday. Breakfast bit weak, but you get what you need. Parking also available and the personnel helpfull and fairly nice. What does not working at all is wifi (unstable and speed super slow, equaling zero) what I really cannot understand. So if you have teenagers who like to be online, u will probably get some comments and complaints from them 🤪.

Family run with beautiful spacious rooms, great location and meals that are unbelievably good. Service is above and beyond. The hostess went out of her way to accommodate and the location to hiking skiing or travel perfect. The benefits of a large hotel with a quaint and charming inn.

This is a typical Austrian hotel in a typical quaint Austrian alpine town. So pretty well predictable in terms of service, food, comfort etc. All true except a small, but significant blip on the service. We'd booked an o/n with dinner, as travelling up from Sarajevo and expecting to be in no state to wander town looking for food when we got there. This place offered a very good deal, and I was expecting a nice Weiner schnitzel and chips after a long drive. Unfortunately, we arrived a little later than expected, and were told, in fairly brusque fashion, that the kitchen was closed and no food was available. Ok, fair enough, the chef had a home to go to. But why no cold option put aside in case we needed something? To make matters worse, we were told that we would still pay the full price- though it wasn't made clear what for as no food put aside. This was ultimately refunded by Booking.com who we had booked the hotel with, but left an unnecessary bad impression. So, 9pm in a small Austrian town and nowhere to eat, after 9 hours drive from Sarajevo. Not a good thing. But then a helpful waiter at another nearby hotel told us about the local pizzaria, which he then rang to make sure they were still open and book us a table. And we weren't his customers. I know where I will book next time! Anyway, despite this, the Wurzer is a nice enough hotel in a lovely spot. And the poor customer service on this occasion doesn't change that. Good value and nice position if you are travelling through Austria.

We spent three nights in this fabulous hotel right in the heart of Filzmoos. Ellen, the owner, was waiting to greet us and we were quickly shown to our room which was spotless, very stylish, well appointed and with stunning views. The hotel has a comfortable atmosphere and we immediately felt 'at home'. Meals were excellent with a great choice for breakfast and a wonderful four-course evening dinner. Ellen and her son, Patrick, are great hosts and most helpful with advice on walks and places to visit. We enjoyed the local band concert from the balcony of our room and we made good use of the table-tennis room. We could not fault anything about the Alpenhotel Wurzer and would highly recommend it. Thank you Ellen and Patrick.
