Myself and family stayed for the third time at the Birkenhof/Rosenhof (hotel/apartments next to each other under same ownership). Markus and Katharina are both really friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and comfortable and literally 2 minutes walk from the train station and a few minutes walk into town. I would definitely recommend and will be heading back some time in the next few years!
Gaestehaus Rosenhof is a very nice place 2stay. Well located nearby the citycenter. The appartements are very nice, the beds are awesome and you can relax in the very nice garden nearby the swimmingpool. The owners of this place are very nice people and helped and informed us very well.
We stand for 1 week with my daughter and overall enjoyed our stay. The location is good, even though it looks different on the map, the main street is 3 minutes walking from the hotel, a good restaurant is just in less than 1 minute walking in the next building. Ski bus and train station are 2 minutes away from it. The room was pretty big and clean with a balcony, the only disadvantage for us was that the door to a toilet/bath was made from transparent glass. The bed was pretty comfortable. The breakfast is very simple and only 4 tables to sit, so we even didn't have a free place to eat on our first-day visit. There is no reception inside the hotel only in the building of Birkenhof, and the staff doesn't speak English well. There is a ski storage room but it is also small and the floor is covered with water after ski (not fully). The heating was great also.…
Rosenhof is located near the town center and even if for some reason you don't like the restaurant just across the road, you won't have to walk far to find several others. The rooms are basic (however, everything you need is there, including free Wi-Fi) but good value and clean. Our room had access to the balcony with a nice view of the city center and the mountains. The biggest asset was the staff, the warm welcome and genuine enthusiasm of the staff are amongst the best you will find.
We had a very nice stay at Rosenhof/Birkenhof, the staff was super friendly and helpfull regarding all questions, and were very quick to help you with anything you needed. Rooms were big, kozy and clean. The breakfast was simple yet high quality, very good value for your money! We hope to be back! :)
great value, big room with spare bed which was perfect for parent child combo, close to town but very peaceful. only downside was a very basic continental breakfast: fresh bread but no pastries or eggs
Rosenhof GH is quite basic. The vest thing in the hotel is Maria, the lady in charge of hospitality. Always with a smile, attentive to every wish or need. The rooms r clean and large, the hotel offers basic BF, personally I found the beds very uncomfortable. But the stay was nonetheless pleasing, all thx to Ms Maria.
Bright, very well maintained and cosy family guesthouse. Traditional but not pretentious or stuffy. Owners were available and interested in their guests. Breakfast was more than adequate: ample traditional Austrian bread rolls, cheese, jams and splendid coffee. Staff attentive, meticulous and kind. We took dinner at nearby Neu House hotel (included in Crystal package). If you like to eat dinner in your JD sports evening attire or stuff your fat belly with one of those ‘eat all you like’ buffets then Neu House hotel, you’ll feel like a fish out of water and it won’t be for you. Superbly cooked, traditional Austrian dinner - more than enough after a day on the pistes - immaculate tables, starched white table clothes and sparkling glassware served by competent staff in smart dirndls. 2 minutes to train station / bus stop. Bus takes 4 minutes to cable car for Penkenberg.…
Rosenhof is very close from the station. When I got off the train, I could find the Rosenhof soon. The owner of the guest house Markus and Katharina were very friendly. (They can speak English very well) Maria who is Rosenhof staff is also very friendly! The room was clean and very quiet. I’d like to stay this comfortable guest house again.
We had booked the apartment which is within the main building for an 8 night stay and it did everything we wanted. Location is ideal, just away from the town centre but very easy to reach. Railway / bus station are even closer. Staff were all very friendly, with the owners making sure they introduced themselves personally and wishing us a good stay. The two bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen area perfectly adequate and well provisioned. The balconies were well used as they have the sun from mid morning through to the evening and are a good place to relax after a day in the mountains. Breakfast is not included in the apartment rate so can't comment on that, but the gym room, table tennis and garden were very nice. If it is of concern to you, the wi-fi connection was intermittent and slow but if that bothers you then you are in the wrong area of the world. Enjoy the open spaces around you. Mayrhofen as a whole is a great base to explore the region from. We arrived by and used public transport the whole time we were there and everything worked superbly. Some of the buses were a little crowded with is being peak summer season. We will certainly be returning to the area in the future and will be looking to stay at the Rosenhof again when we do.…
