We booked two nights in Hotel Perauer Jan. 06-07. 2023, Unfortunaltly my husband get sick and we would not be able to go, they didnt accept to give us any solution, we will never book with this hotel, the customer service is bad.
Short break trip with 6 friends in 3 junior suites half board. Arrived 12.30pm and rooms ready early, check in straightforward and very friendly/ welcoming. Hotel immaculately clean and communal areas finished to a very high standard with authentic warm decor. Good boot/ ski room (secure) with lift access to the outside so no stairs to trudge up in ski gear. Location is excellent 150metres to Ahorn lift and about 5mins max (in ski boots) to the Penken but you could jump on the free bus from the Ahorn if you were feeling lazy! Good range of bars and shops on doorstep. Rooms spacious and well appointed with comfy beds and huge balconies. Nice spa downstairs with sauna, steam, infra red sauna and relaxation room with a double water bed (go figure! but worth laying on for 20mins if you've never tried one) + range of ice cold/ hot showers and free beverages herbal teas/ juices on offer. Food was very good on the half board with good quality breakfast hot and cold food, juicer, excellent coffees and breads. Dinner 4 courses every night and all very good. Meat provided was very tasty but as the hotel owns a great butchers shop on the main street near the Penken lift (must visit and have a hot roast beef cob for lunch!! ) you would expect the quality of all the meat to be great. Hotel vibe is relaxed friendly where (semi) civilised groups and familes and couples will feel very comfortable. All staff we interacted with were very friendly and hard working and a real credit to the hotel. We had a late pick up on the leaving day but although we had to be out of the rooms by 10am the hotel kindly allowed us to use the facilities, boot room to store luggage whilst we skied and provided us with towels and access to the spa for showering before departure. Our group have skied a lot of resorts over the years but all felt that this was overall one of the best we have stayed in for value for money, location and relaxed friendly ambiance. Sorry to leave but will be back in the not too distant future.…
Location is perfect. The hotel Is charming and full of character. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We had a south Facing room this time with a sunny balcony overlooking the car park for the Ahorn cable car. The new Butchers Bar was the perfect place for a drink before or after dinner. The new lift to the boot room is another welcome addition. The food was delicious once again. We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend but don’t want to tell too many people about this little gem!
Just returned after our second stay at this wonderful hotel. Greeted by a familiar face of Judith who welcomed us back. They have had some work done at the hotel since last year. Improved butcher bar and boot room. Food was great and lots of it. Friendly waiting staff Adam, Stephanie and Marco. Lovely rooms we were all very happy . Spacious and always cleaned and fresh towels. Hotel is the perfect location to the Ahorn lift and a short walk to the larger Penken lift . Will be booking again for next year as love this hotel and great staff.
We stayed for one week at the Perauer. I would recommend the rooms facing the Ahorn cable car - much quieter than on the river side. Also these rooms have a great view up valley towards Finkenberg. The dinner main course serving was varied - but always a good (and large) meat dish - what would you expect from a butcher.....After some service delays and "kitchen problems" on our second night, the service improved significantly. The restaurant was always busy with hotel guests and others. This is the only downside - the serving staff are running at full speed all night and sometimes don't have the time to give the guest the appropriate level of service. However, we had an enjoyable stay and would return.
It's a very nice place, quiet, clean with great views, the food is excellent, compliments to the chefs! The kids spend a great time and every year ask to come again. We strongly recommend for all who want an unforgettable vacation in the Alps!
Our group of 8 ladies have just returned from a wonderful week at the Perauer. We were greeted by Judith in reception who was a delight throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. All our rooms faced the river, next time we would book rooms facing the mountain to enjoy the sun (when it comes out). The breakfast was great with a good choice of hot eggs, bacon or sausage and cold meats, cheese and yogurts plus a juice machine. All self-service. The evening meal was always very good, starting with soup then salad buffet, main course and sweet served by the friendly efficient and lovely staff including Patrick, Dominic and Marion. The only minus was that it is so good that it was always full and sometimes noisy from non-residents all anxious to get a table. The restaurant is very beautiful and traditional. There is also a terrace where you can enjoy drinks and food but unfortunately no sun terrace. The newly refurbished spa area on the lower ground floor has a small sauna, steam room and infrared cabin plus a relaxation area with teas and water. We enjoyed this a couple of times during our stay. It is only small but there wasn’t anybody else using it at the time. The ski and boot rooms are also here. One of the main attractions of the hotel is the location. Opposite the Ahorn cable car and about 3 minutes walk from The Penken and the start of the Main Street with a good selection of shops and a supermarket The Bruck and Stadl après ski bar is next door and it is open from 15:00 to 04:00 but there was no disturbance from noise at all. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return. Thank you the Perauer family and staff. Sent from my iPad…
This is a lovely traditional hotel situated within a few steps of the Ahorn lift and only a few hundred metres from the Penken, the location is excellent. We stayed in a top floor room (4th floor) which had a really spacious bedroom area with some fab features, big bathroom and balcony facing the mountains with a great view. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. There is a boot room in the basement which is perfect for ski storage, there is also a spa / sauna area which we didn’t get chance to use so can’t comment on. Storage in the rooms was great plenty of space for all your clothes. The only negatives for us is that we would have liked tea/ coffee making facilities in the rooms, and that the pillows could have been thicker. Breakfast was fine with a selection of toast, cereal, fruits, cold plates, eg cheese/ Salmon / ham, Boiled eggs, bacon etc. Set us up for the day. Dinner in the restaurant was also lovely, would definitely recommend the fillet steak. Would certainly return to this hotel and definitely recommend this hotel to couples or families with older children.…
We didn't stay at this hotel. We only ate here once for lunch at the recommendation of one of the locals. The restaurant is decorated nicely in the Tyrolean style--lots of wood. Food was delicious and service was great here. We would have loved to come again if we had found this restaurant sooner.
Beautiful family run hotel very close to ski lifts, staff great, owners lovely and food amazing Came with a large group of friends, all rooms very nice and very clean, hotel is recently refurbished and everything is very well presented Food is exceptional and locally sourced A difficult hotel to fault and up there with the many 5 star hotels I have stayed out around the world
