What a lovely friendly hotel for our trip to beautiful Mayrhofen. We stayed in the annexe across the road from the main hotel in a two bedroom family room which was spacious clean and warm. There was a bit of noise from the delivery van to the shop below most mornings but this was not until 6am/6.30am at the earliest which was fine as we were up early. The breakfast and evening meal were served in the main hotel and the food was amazing all week starting with a Christmas Eve gala dinner. The staff were all really attentive and helped us with everything we needed, including a cake for my husband’s birthday. We would stay in this hotel again.
We were a large party with Inghams and we stayed in the Annexe across the road from main hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious but if you stay at the front of this building be prepared for the noise from the early deliveries to the supermarket below. Pack some ear plugs. If you stay in the Annexe you also don’t get use of the swimming pool and spa as this is only available to main hotel guests. This was the downside of our stay but aside from this everything else was good. The food was lovely and we were treated on our first night to a seven course New Years Eve gala dinner with live Austrian music. What a great start to our holiday. Whilst the hotel apparently doesn’t cater for vegans and they make it clear they are a traditional Austrian hotel and this involves lots of meat they catered perfectly well for a vegan, no problem at all and they were extremely accommodating providing delicious and varied meals. They provided nicer vegan food than some restaurants that claim to provide vegan food. We ate so well all week and the menu changed every night with plenty of options to choose from. The staff were really friendly.and happy to help. The only word of caution is you have to pay for tap water for the table so don’t go mad ordering it as it all adds up. Overall I would definitely return and recommend this hotel.…
Such a beautiful and traditional hotel maintained to a high standard. All members of staff are friendly and attentive- nothing is too much trouble. Food is amazing - fresh, well presented and tastes amazing - such a good menu! Best hotel in Mayrhofen and have stayed in a few!
The Kroll family are very good hosts and the staff, some of whom have been with the hotel for a number of years, especially Verena and Christian in the restaurant. The food is excellent, the best in any hotel I have been in. The only downside was that our tour operator Inghams had only negotiated for the Annex which is very basic and was acknowledged as such by the owner( usually suitable for skiers who would generally only spend a limited time in the rooms) We have previously stayed in the main hotel and the room we had then was excellent with a balcony overlooking the main square and church. I have no hesitation in recommending Kramerwirt, You will receive a very warm welcome and best of attention.
Highly recommended! The Kramerwirt has been operating since the 17th century and is right in the middle of Mayrhofen. Wonderful rooms, service, food and atmosphere... all in the traditional Tirol fashion. As an added bonus, there's also a modern spa on the top floor with sauna, steam, pool, etc. A perfect way to rejuvenate after a long hike or ski run!
Hotel, the facilities, the food, the standards of everything is absolutely wonderful. Plus the above opening statement says it all really. We have been coming to Austria for four decades plus....But we have never stayed in such a wonderful hotel as the Kramerwirt.....If anyone’s planning a visit to the Alps in summertime, then Mayrhofen is the place to be....🇦🇹🇦🇹🇦🇹🇦🇹🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇😊😊😊
Hello, Summery: DONT EAT HERE! This is my first review in my life. I never take time to write it, but this time i swore to my self that I would try to save others from the experience I had in this restaurant. Below the reasons why: - the food tasted really really bad -after the meal I was locked in my toilet for 4 hours, also my girlfriend was sick -the staff was not nice -the prices are pretty high! 27 € for a couple of pieces of salmon with potatoes? - There were flies and wasps everywhere! To sum up, go eat anywhere else in Mayrhofer my dear friends.
As I travelled to my favourite hotel I wondered about the impact that Covid might have had. I learned that, like places around the world Mayrhofen had encountered challenges. However, I also learned that the owners had made an opportunity to completely re-design the Wellness area, including the small pool. Take a look at it on the hotel website to see how impressive it is. It was good to see many staff members once again - including Mathias in reception. Once again Verena and Christian, who are the senior restaurant staff, were fully prepared to to ensure that my dietary requirements were safely met. I am accustomed to eating excellent food when I stay here, but would like to make special comments about work of Meat Chef Georg. Not only were the Venison cooked in Cherries, the Mutton and the Gamsbock delicious meals, they also had great visual impact - artistry. The skilful design of an earlier generation provides for good ventilation for diners in the main restaurant - this can be welcome on hot summer evenings. The annual celebration for the Volunteer Fire Service on the terrace at the front of the hotel drew an audience of guests and locals to listen to really enjoyable music, as well as enjoy a few drinks - see photograph.…
This was our first time in this hotel. The staff were delightful. Always smiling and do helpful with my attempts to speak German. Personally I love the church bells ringing but be aware, they are loud! Buffet breakfast was very good, with lots of healthy options to set you up for a day of mountain climbing. The spa (yes…naked for all you shy British people) was top quality and great to relax in after the mountain climbing! Dinner was good with a choice of main course. Some nice wines to choose from too. Mayrhofen is about an hour from Innsbruck airport. Very easy route. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Mayrhofen which is a lovely, quaint town with easy access to the mountains and plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants to potter around. We dfinitely recommend this hotel.…
The Kramerwirt is a real gem. The hotel is hundreds of years old, and they have done a great job of preserving the old Tyrolian heritage of the building even though the rooms have good quality modern conveniences. We were specifically looking for a place that would preserve the charm and atmosphere of yesterday, and we found it here.it was a pleasure to sit on our small traditional wooden balcony (naturally decorated with the wonderful window-box flowers are seen on traditional buildings here) looking out over the main square. The internal hallways are decorated with historic paintings and some of the old wardrobes and trunks that were used in the rooms in centuries past. The wood-paneled restaurant also exudes traditional Austrian character and serves excellent breakfast and dinner. The owners and staff are helpful and friendly, making our stay a very pleasant experience.…
