It was our first time to Mayrhofen and traveling from Canada, I found it difficult to find affordable accommodation at first but I read about this guest house on a travel blog. Scheulinghof was an excellent first experience and we would definitely recommend it. The location was amazing and the breakfast was exactly what we needed before hitting the slopes. The rooms were extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our balcony faced the Adhorn lift and it was a gorgeous view in the morning. The staff went above and beyond by storing our luggage for us while we stayed on the mountain to do the white lounge igloo experience for the first night we were there. Staying in a traditional Austrian guest house definitely enhanced our snowboard experience.
Having visited Mayrhofen for over 20 years I had yet to stay at the Scheulinghof. Over Christmas and NYE where central accommodation at an affordable price is tricky to find this place did not disappoint! Christina was friendly and helpful upon checking in and showed us to our room. Our exceptionally clean double room was spacious and included plenty of wardrobe, a large bathroom with storageand it also had a big balcony which meant we were able to watch all of the different NYE firework displays in the mountains. The breakfast staff were attentive and served a traditional spread - bread, meats cheese, cereals, eggs etc. The location is perfect - a 5 minute walk to the Penkenbahn lift and a 3 minute walk to the Ahorn llift. A lovely traditional family run B&B - we will definitely be returning!…
I loved my stay here. The staff are all very friendly, speaking good English. Prices are amazing for single travellers. Breakfast is a good spread of meats, cheeses, cereals, bread, eggs, yoghurt, fruit. Location is great, a little out of the centre but not far enough to matter (2 minute walk to the main drag). Rooms are really clean and big, mine had a great balcony.
We stayed at Scheulinghof during our ski week and we fully enjoyed it. The location is perfect and right next to the Ahorn cable car and 7 min walk from the Penken cable car. It is outside the busy and noisy Mayhorn Centre yet only 5-10 min walk from all the shops and restaurants. The lady who owns the place is very friendly and always with a smile on her face. Breakfast is good, rooms are clean and spacious and there is even a play room and a small sauna to relax after the ski day. The only recommendation for improvement I could make (but only minor) would be to improve the WiFi connection which was poor at times and also to maintain the parking place during the icy/frosty days so that cars can come in and out easier (it was completely icy and a bit difficult to drive). Overall, we found Scheulinghof a great value for our money and would recommend it to anyone.…
My partner and I booked this accommodation the day we arrived, we were not disappointed. We only stayed for one night, but it was perfect and had everything we needed. It isn't modern or new, it is a bit outdated but it was clean and tidy which is exactly what you in a room. The room was big and spacious and had a full sized bathroom, also a balcony looking out to the mountains. The lady who greeted us at the reception was lovely! She was very helpful and full of advice about hiking- this is what we were in town to do. There was a great homely feel to the place. I would definitely recommend!
Stayed for 6 nights in Feb 2017 and very much enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and the staff was more that attentive to our needs. Great location, handy ski storage, nearby and free parking, good internet connections, good value, and adequate breakfast. Only slight improvement would have been a little more variety in breakfast, and pillows could be a little more substantial. Granted almost all of Europe has flat, small pillows by American standards so this was not unusual. Would definitely stay here again!
Very nice place. We rent an apartment. I think it's the first one I stayed where everything it's exactly like on site. Rooms are very large, kitchen full equiped, very clean. Sloapes from Mayrhofen are about 6-7 minutes to walk. Quality/price are excellent. Rooms for ski and boots. If I came back, for sure I will stay here Highly recomended
We only stayed for one night but we really enjoined it. The room was big and clean with a big shower and a nice balcony, The breakfast was really nice - continental + some mossli and the stuff was really nice and helpful. Also a nice plus was the big parking for the cars. If we ever come back we will defiantly stay at this hotel again!!
Best combination: location, service, price. Mrs Wechselberger very friendly and efficient. Rooms are quite big and well furnitured. Breackfest good diversity and quality. Hotel management provide exactly what tourist needs.
We were fortunate to have been recommended this place by the Mayrhofen info center. Walking distance to most attractions, yet away from the busiest part of town. We stayed on two different occasions, both rooms were clean, spacious, and had a balcony with a great view -- including at midnight - the stars. A generous breakfast was offered, and Christina, the owner, always available and friendly, Vielen Danke Kristina, from your Montreal guests
