Perfect apartment, ten minutes walk into Mayrhoven centre on flat and easy road, or 1 minute to the ski bus, which goes every 20 minutes. Views from the balconies are towards the stunning Hintertux mountains. The apartment was extremely spacious, with a massive, gorgeous bathroom and had everything for a more than comfortable stay. The cleanliness was beyond 5*s, probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. The owner, Sylvana, was very helpful, nothing was too much for her. The saunas and the restroom were a delight of peaceful calm. Highly recommended.
A lovely clean apartment where hygiene is high priority. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Also beautiful mountain views. Less than 10 minutes walk to the center of Mayrhofen. Nice bathroom and even a separate toilet. Complete kitchen.
Went to Mayrhofen on a stag party with the main group staying in centre of town as part of their ski package. Three of us were only there for a long weekend so found alternative accommodation. Booked initially based on availability and price but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Garni Therese. The owner was polite and very helpful and spoke good english. Rooms were clean tidy and to good size with balcony. Hotel is 10-15min walk into town but flat and on light pavement but guys jumped on ski bus to take them to lift in the morning and afternoon.
No complaints here. My experience was that prior reviews are correct - room was modern and clean, nothing was missing or broken. Management is helpful and friendly. The 'town' is combination of tourists and agriculture - wouldn't recommend the night life during summer hiking season. But as far as hiking a couple days in the walley, this place's fine.
We stayed her for a weekend in a 4 persons apartment and realy loved it. Friends of us stayed in a 2 persons apartment. We think the 4persons apartment is recommended, because it looks nicer and it is obviously a lot bigger. It was clean, modern, spacious and 4 star worthwile. Clean towels, slippers for use and bathropes. Apartment has fre parking and satellite tv. Although it is 15 min walking to the centre of Mayrhofen and 20 min. to the nearest skilift, you can get a taxi for 5euro. Or walk to the nearest busstop. Value for money is ok (expensive, but 4 star).
We stayed here for 5 nights, for skiing - it's located a very short walk from the ski bus (most convenient for Horbergbahn, but Penkenbahn is also easy to reach). The owners are lovely, the apartment was incredibly clean and spacious - beautiful view from the terrace onto the mountains. The spa (open every day except Sundays) was lovely, perfect after a long days skiing. In terms of facilities, it was well equipped - we cooked at home two out of the five nights. A minor point is that it's further from the town centre than the place we stayed at last time (c15 mins walk), but that really is a minor point - the walk is actually quite nice after dinner or a few drinks! We would definitely come back here again if we come back to mayrhofen, and would recommend it to others.
We just came back from our eventful holiday at Mayrhofen. We stayed at Apart Hotel Garni Therese for New Years, and even though our 3year old son broke his leg while skiing we had a great time. The hotel itself is located about 15/20m walk to the ski lift and you have the ski bus just round the corner. The flat was small but comfy, we specially loved the front room, with the dinning table and the view from the balcony. Which was amazing for the fireworks display overlooking Mayrhofen. The place was very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We cooked in every night. The owner gave my son a lovely teddy on arrival and they left us a small bottle of champagne and chocolates for New Year. That was a very nice touch. She really helped us with the doctors arrangement for our son and taxis. Thanks very much! We would def recommend to stay a Garni Therese if visiting Mayrhofen and we'll def stay here again if we are lucky to get back to Mayrhofen in the future!!!…
The room with 2 bedrooms is great. It was also very clean and spacious. There is a barn right in front of the hotel which has a machine inside that gives a noise about 24 hours a day. When you are 3 weeks in this hotel that begins to irritate pretty quick. Sitting nice on the balcony enjoying the fresh air and silence gets less attractive this way. Also is on the other side of the hotel a camping. That did not bother me a lot. Only the live music every Wednesday from 18:00-22:45 bothered me a little. The spa is very good for a hotel like this, but only open 3 evenings a week. And that only after request. (I found out after a week) There is a little shop next to the campingspot with lots of choice in bread every morning. Although I was there for 3 weeks I did not have much contact with the owner. It was friendly to give my little children a small teddybear. Clean towels twice a week, clean sheets once. There was enough parking place. The one closest to the entrance is reserverd for the owner. If I would run a hotel I would do the opposite. In combination with the price, approximately 2700 for 3 weeks, which is not cheap for Austria, for me this is an average.…
We enjoyed our stay a lot. Cosy app with all fac we needed, owner very friendly & helpful. Did not use the spa but looked very nice. Its a (lovely) 10 min walk to center, through the fields. Were lucky on the weather (25-30 degrees celsius every day). Hope to come back in winter for skiing.
