Extremely homey and well located! Close to bus stops & train station so you can get anywhere quickly. Comfortable beds, rich breakfast and super clean ( everywhere! ). The family running it are very friendly and welcoming, it's very genuine and makes you feel like guest in someone's home, it's not dehumanized like in hotels ;) City ( village ) center is a 5 minutes' walk away. Will likely come back!

A lovely family, a top room for two nights with breakfast menu included. Perfect! Highlight is the nature swimming pool and the sauna with panorama view! No problem to come with a dog was a big advantage. The hotel is close to the city center what makes it easy to go out for dinner and party.

Great location easy walking distance to the train station, downtown restaurants, and cable cars for hiking. The owners were very helpful and helped with local info and hiking recommendations. Very clean, nice balcony, comfortable beds and renovated bathrooms. Good selection of breakfast items as well. Highly recommended and we will definitely stay here again if we go back to Mayrhofen.

This is our 3rd visit to Mayrhofen and stayed in room 28 of the Birkenhof guest house each time. Lovely to come back and can't imagine we'd stay anywhere else. Lovely hosts in Markus and Katharina Moigg, always pleasant and helpful whilst managing the guesthouse along with raising a young family. Even got the Guinea pigs out for the kids to see when we enquired about them. Lovely varied traditional continental breakfast, rooms always clean and tidy. Lovely play area for the kids. Great quiet location across the train track just out of the centre near the river but only a minute or 2 into the centre. Lots of lovely restaurants. Parking available at the guesthouse which has been improved further this year. We will certainly be back.

Top location (peacefull but close to center of Mayrhofen). Nice. Spacious and clean rooms with balcony. Friendly and helpfull hosts. Excellent breakfast. Price/quality TOP! For sure we will go back to Birkenhof or Rosenhof in Mayrhofen!

Lovely place to stay where both Marcus and Katerina were so helpful and friendly. We were awkward guests by changing our breakfast requirements but they were so helpful and courteous when we did. Lovely accommodation and a nice short walk into Mayrhofen centre. Couldn't speak more highly of the accommodation or the owners.

We just spent an exellent week at Birkenhof guest house for our ski holiday. The place is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and modern with an austrian charm. The staff is very nice and will help with absolutely everything. The place is located just around 5 walking minutes away from the ski bus stop and also the train station. What is also handy is that the bus stop is literally the last one before the ski lift! Absolutety recommend and will definitely come back here again Many thanks for everything!

Stayed for 4 nights for a short ski break. The guesthouse is clean and modern. Room was comfortable, warm and quiet. Beds comfortable but not luxurious. Most important was the warm and friendly welcome from Frau Moigg. She made us feel at home and was full of advice about the town and restaurants etc. Birkenhof is 5 mins walk from the station from where the B bus goes straight to the main lift. It is a 10 - 15 minute walk to the town centre. Happy to recommend for a good value stay.

I have stayed here 2 years ago and came back this year 2 times already. Something in this place makes me feel at home, makes me come back to it again and again, and again. The location is amazing, one minute from the train station of Mayrhofen, which gives you great access to everywhere...I usually reach Mayrhofen by train, so it saves me to pay for a taxi. Easy to get to Penken or every ski resort in the Zillertal valley by train or bus. Even in summer, all the buses to the famous locations stop by the train station. The rooms are lovely, clean big and comfy, there are car parking, small gym, Ping Pong Table and plenty of space to spend time with friends in the evenings. But above all, AMAZING hospitality. Whatever question I had, and I had a lot of questions...I always got a detailed answer and all the help I could have ever ask for, and way more. I own a lot of my good experience in Mayrhofen to Katharina, her husband, and their staff. Summer or winter, the Zillertal valley is always beautiful, and I will keep coming back to this place.…
