We were really looking forward to our Mayrhofen trip and when we landed at the Huber Boutique Hotel we were met with a warm welcome and truffles… The hotel is trendy with neutral soft furnishings complimenting the rustic finish and modern fire and cellar….. The food and service has been outstanding the quality of a standard you’d expect in a Michelin starred restaurant.. The rooms are understated chic with super views of the snow tipped mountains and a stones throw from the lifts. Where do I start with service …..? Amazing and I don’t say this lightly from our warm welcome on checkin to our last brekkie we were made to feel like their guests … chatty repartee from Anita and all members of staff made us feel so. Welcome nothing too much trouble I can’t recommend this place enough and I will be back 😘😘😘…
The food is good & the suites are nice. BUT this is the worst service I’ve ever experienced in a 4 star hotel. The reception staff including the senior owners act extremely inflexible and rude. Feedback is not really appreciated. Things like… €5.- for a lost room key… no wine glasses allowed in the rooms,…. 2 hour slot for dinner and absolutely no flexibility would fit to a 1 star hotel but not 4 My rating: Dinner: food quality is 4 star…. service is only good if hotel is not full, otherwise the waiters have to rush to serve everyone in the short window and the nice food is pushed out rather than served We will definitely never stay here again…. there a much nicer places in Mayrhofen, who care about their clients.
Fabulous hotel. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Exceptional food. My wife and I stayed for 5 nights in December 2021 and would not hesitate to recommend this amazing hotel. Great outdoor swimming pool too,
Really disappointing experience… we booked and paid for a 45m2 suite, but received a 29m2 double room instead as was the peak season and hotel was full I guess… The restaurant has nice staff but is very uncomfortable, size of a living room packed with a dozen of tables, so do not take the half-board if you still choose this hotel. Another disappointment was the design level, all carpets in rooms so not very clean and smelly … All in all, pretending to be a 4s hotel, but is more a 2*, so make sure not to overpay in high season for this…
We booked initially other hotel but the heath drove us to Huber and its open air pool, and booking.com is flexible ... Late arrival on day 1 made us miss dinner but hotel compensated with cheese and Austrian meat. Hotel room was nice and clean but no ‘whow’ experience. That is of course if you book the cheap Booking.com rooms. Over to the Pro! Splendid diners, brilliant cook, HB price is a real recommendation. Breakfast excellent also. Nice service too. The leading service lady, and the bar guy are top in their job. Treat them well! Swimming pool is nice and clean, to hot for sauna etc but sure it was fine. Really enjoyed the stay. Personal note to the lady boss: if you or your staff make a mistake then do not confront your guest with this... Nevertheless a top place.
We spent 3 nights at the Huber’s and had an amazing time. The staff is super friendly, the room cozy, the spa was a nice add on as we had a rainy day, the restaurant was excellent and the wine collection offered great choices. I recommend to book with dinner as the food was delicious. If the menu was not to the taste of the customer an alternative was offered without hesitation. We also enjoyed that the hotel is not located in the middle of Mayrhofens tourist area but still super close. If we are in the area again we will choose the Huber’s again.
We are here on our 5th day now. So far, both the food and service has been way above our expectations. The chef and the waiters are doibg their outmost to serve our needs. Nice spa and pool. Clean and tidy rooms . Only a few minutes walk from the Penken bahn lift😀 We would definately recommend Hübers to anyone seeking a nice and quiet stay.
This is an outstanding place to stay for a ski holiday. It's literally 1 minute away from the main lift station but nicely set off the main street. The inclusive food is absolutely superb - these dishes wouldn't be out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. The drinks are extremely reasonably priced and of a high quality. The quality of the accommodation is also very high - if you can, pay extra for one of the suites, they are brilliant and so spacious. The spa facilities are lovely too - the outdoor pool was a highlight (particularly when it was snowing at the same time). Finally the service of the staff could not have been better. Such nice, genuine and hard-working people. It's a superb set-up - book with confidence!
We have just returned from a week staying at Huber’s Boutique Hotel. The first thing to know is the hotel is perfectly placed on a road away from the busy bars and hotels but still only a 2 minute walk to the main lift in the resort. So 5 stars for location alone! We stayed in one of the more basic rooms but still had plenty of space and a very comfy bed. Disappointed that we only got a shower and no bath but we should have read the description better. The larger rooms do have baths. The bathroom could have done with a bit of a refurbishment as the shower tray leaked a bit and there were a couple of cracked tiles but that’s only cosmetic. The is a nice warm swimming pool and a sauna for general use and and a “spa” but the spare is limited to full on nude so we didn’t venture in! Had they had a hot tub next to the pool it would have been awesome! Food was excellent with a 5 course meal each night. Plenty of variety and some nice wines at reasonable prices. We never left the table feeling we needed more food! Generally portion sizes were good but on two nights the main course was enough on its own. Breakfast was good too with plenty of choice and fresh omelette and eggs on order. There was also cake late afternoon if you were hungry after a day skiing. There were a few things to improve on. You pay 3.50 for tap water at the table in the evening if you don’t have a bottle of wine although you can go and get water from the Buffett area free. But for a hotel of this quality that feels like something that’s just not required. And they only offer omelette or fried egg so if you want a poached egg you have to ask very nicely and hope they take pity. Minor points but very easy to fix but one star knocked off the rating Staff were excellent and the place was small enough to be cosy and feel like a family run hotel. I’d certainly recommend and we will be going back in the near future…
This place is a little gem, they offer superb almost Michelin star food which if you book an inclusive package ahead of time is incredibly affordable. The walk through wine cellar has to be seen. The location is near perfect for town and ski lifts.
