The location is good and the apartment clean, but the place lacks a bit of charm. The sauna is not ‚ a wellness setup‘. Guests must bring their own sauna towels, which is not the norm for this price category. If you didn’t read the fine print, you don’t know this and either can’t go to the sauna or you have to use the one small shower towel provided to you in your room. We can’t recommend staying here and we will choose a different lodging the next time we visit Mayrhofen. For the price, there’re definitely other options.
We chose Apart Mountain based on location (with a 15 month baby as part of our crew it was likely that there was always one or two of us not able to ski, and or doing half days) facilities (enough room for 5 adults and a baby), and service(reviews looked positive). We were so pleased with our choice with the location in regard to gondalas and shops and restaurants equally good, especially in regard to Ahorn. The service was first rate with helpful advice - nothing was too much. The units are well set up, well planned and everything you for a week stay. We are in half the time and we’re able to put together some pretty scrummy meals. This was a special trip coming all the way from New Zealand to share this week with our children who are currently based in Europe and the apartment helped complete the week. We lucked it with amazing week of snow which also helped!! When we come back we will be definitely checking to see whether Apart Mountain Lodge is available…
We stayed in Apart Mountain Lodge for nine nights as part of a recent family holiday in summer 2018. We were initially attracted by being able to view the apartment floor plan online before booking. Our apartment was a "deluxe" which was 81 m2 and unlike many ski apartments would genuinely accommodate the number of guests advertised (6). For our family of 4 with two teenage boys, it was more than generous. The apartments are modern (2011 build) and fitted to a high standard. They were serviced daily during our stay, with regular towel changes. The location is at the top end of Mayrhofen village, but only a 3-minute walk away, and a 40-second stagger to the Ahorn cable car. Our boys gave the WiFi a tough road test and were able to game online or stream videos with minimal frustration on the basic WiFi. We didn't try the upgrade. Daniela was an excellent host with good spoken English. Very helpful on local information. We have no hesitation in recommending.…
We had a great stay here for five nights. The apartment was clean, modern and spacious. Location was brilliant. A short walk to the gondola which took all of 3-4 minutes with our kids. We hired our skis etc at a shop opposite the gondola and left them there so we just picked them up each morning when we wanted to ski. Being a month away from home, our boys were over restaurant eating, so we cooked in the apartment each night. The supermarket was near the gondola, so again, convenient to the apartment. Just don’t make the mistake I made and assume there is a microwave in the kitchen! I went to the supermarket before checking out the provisions and made the wrong assumption, buying microwave meals. I would suggest it would be nice to provide guests with Olive oil, salt and pepper. Nobody should have to buy these cooking basics at these prices.…
Stayed here with a friend, for a skiing-vacation, in March with a big group. The location is perfect and property is fantastic, its spacious, warm, exceptionally clean, well equipped. All brand new. We had a great view of the mountain from 2 of the 3 bedrooms, kitchen & living room area. Rooms are very large and clean, good size with comfy beds although. Bathrooms are modern, excellent Sauna room and chill out area opens from 4 pm and is free. Daniela was super accommodating and helpful and she recommending some things to do and places to eat. it was great place to stay. Definitely recommend.
Modern, spacious, clean, incredibly well equipped, peaceful and very warm apartments. Lovely staff, very friendly. Short downhill walk from the Penkenbahm lifts. Tip - hire your ski's at the top of the lifts and also hire a locker for 16€ per day (locker stores for 4). Saves you lugging your kit up and down the mountain.
These are great apartments. They're slightly up Tuxerstraße from the central amenities, but the advantage to this is that they're quiet, yet within a 5 minute walk of the Penken lift. The Ahorn lift is a short walk across the car park, very easily accessed. We had a lovely greeting from Daniella. The apartment itself was very spacious, modern and clean, beds ere exceptionally comfortable and we were very happy with it except for the sofa, which was incredibly uncomfortable. I think it was designed to be a sofa bed but as we didn't have extra people with us it stayed as an uncomfortable seat! This is the reason I gave 4 not 5 for the room. The apartment has covered parking (handy for when it snows) and a good boot room. It also has a spa area, but we didn't use this or partake in the breakfast. Ski hire is just across the road at Der Roten Profis, who were also great, v helpful. The ski bus stops right outside the apartments, but we found this to be somewhat a waste of time as it doesn't take you directly to the Penken lift, but drops you at the bridge, which saves about 3 minutes of a 5 minute walk. We walked to the lift most days, but did get the bus back after skiing when the kids were tired. We also spent 1 day up at the Hintertux glacier and had some amazing blue sky skiing up there. Highly recommend a visit up there if you love wide motorway reds. Not too many other skiers there either compared to some of the areas around the Penken and Horberg. A lovely touch from Daniella was a gift for each of our children when we left and Yes, would definitely recommend.…
Just got back from a fabulous weekend in Mayhofen staying at the Apart Mountain Lodge. We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived & the whole of our stay was really comfortable & relaxing. The apartment was clean & well equipped. The Ahorn lift was at the back of the apartment but it was only a few minutes walk to the Penken lift, shops, bars & restaurants which means the accommodation is ideally situated. Would definitely recommend & will be back.
Ideal location to both Penken and Ahorn lifts. Huge skiing area and snow guarantee make this a prime destination. Out of season it is ona a thirty minute drive to the Hintertux glacier, doubling the skiing area again. Very friendly staff, well organized. Neat and extremely clean house. Very quiet (did not ever hear any of the other guests). Adequate ski storage facilities. Ski rental across the street. Very good value for money ratio. Will come again for sure.
Stayed for one week, will definetly come back again! Great apartment, clean, modern and spacious. Perfect location, close to town, cable cars and bus stop, but still nice and quiet. Fantastic roof top terrace with mountain view. Loved it!!
