We stayed 5 nights at the Rose Hotel and were accommodated in a Rosalia room on half board. Our room was lovely, very modern, big with a fabulous shower and a separate WC. We had a good sized balcony at the front of the hotel with great views to the Penkenbahn lift. Breakfast was very good, can't fault it at all. Evening meals were OK nothing to get excited about but nothing to complain about. The only negative is the speed at which dinners are served. No sooner has one course been removed, the next is put in front of you. Considering the table is 'yours' for the evening (and at breakfast) it did seem the staff wanted you in and out quickly. The hotel is spotlessly clean, in a great location and has entertainment a few times a week. We did find it lacked atmosphere and was efficient rather than friendly. Having said that Amelia in the dining room was charming and would always stop and ask after our day. A real credit to the hotel team. Would we stay again... Yes …
A group of eight of us stayed in the Hotel Rose for 5 nights recently. We couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. A family run hotel that is provides a really wonderful service, a warm friendly welcome, excellent staff, food was excellent, and the rooms were really comfortable, quiet and well serviced . We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely stay if we’re back in Mayrhofen the future .
Three nights at hotel rose. Great location, short walk to main gondola, bars and shops. Rooms 1 family suite for 3 and a.cozy suite for 2 were excellent, shower was amazing. Dinner was perfect hungry men in the evening, buffet most nights and was far better than eating out. Excellent Austrian breakfast you. New boot/ ski room was really good in the building next door. All round very good and wouldn't hesitate going back
We booked a new room, very nice decorated with great bathroom ans a lot of storage. Reception en service in dining room is super friendly and warm. Sauna is splendid, although we did not smell herbs in the herb-sauna. Dinner is fine, but used to be a little bit better: we had 3 out of 7 nights buffet dinner, we prefer the choice menu instead. The choice menu’s were great and desserts delicious. The saladbar could be a bit more diverse. Breakfast is above good, a lot of choice in bread, in the spot prepared eggs and pancakes, a lot of fresh fruit, wheats, fresh joghurt a nice selection cheese en deli (charcuterie) etc..
We stayed at the Hotel Rose in Mayrhofen in February 2022, for a week's skiing. The Hotel is absolutely fabulous. The staff are so friendly and helpful and they looked after us very well. Our room was very large and the bathroom was very modern. Everything was spotless. We had a good sized balcony overlooking the mountains. There was plenty of storage space in the room, including a small safe. The hotel is always kept nice and warm so you don't need a jumper on, even in February. The sauna area is modern and varied, with dry rooms, a wet room and a relaxation area. The food for both breakfast and dinner was plentiful, varied and wonderful. For those skiing, there is a safe contained boot room with room-allocated lockers for skis and boots. This was great. The bus to/from the Penken stops just outside the hotel. Our whole stay was wonderful and the Hotel Rose made it super special. Thank you to the Hotel Rose and the whole team there.…
We had a weekend at the hotel. due to Corona virus, our flight back was cancelled and we needed to find new flight back. Unfortunately we needed to return 1 day earlier. The great staff supported us to get refunds for everything. They also partial credit us for the stay. The food was good. You have always the same table. SPA area is good. We spent there 30 minutes after the ski. Bar of the hotel is open until last person leaves. we loved it. and as I mentioned, the staff, they are making the change for your stay. The staff cares about the hotel and for your satisfaction. It makes the weekend for us. We will defiantly get back for another stay.
We stayed in a Komfort room which was double bed and sofa bed. The room was too hot for us at night but turned down radiators which helped. Main bed was foam mattress which was firm and got hot as retained heat from body. Arrival was efficient and we were able to find parking onsite for free - there are two areas and under hotel - others couldn't find space but hotel let them park in underground area for free as was included in booking (not underground but none available) instead of Euro 4 per day. Bar and restaurant were good and service friendly and efficient. I was concerned about food having read recent reviews but we all enjoyed the food and had half board all week - self service salad buffet each night and a mixture of main evening meal buffet for 3 night and a la carte (choice of 3 including vegetarian option selected at breakfast). Kids could choose from kids menu (also included with our rate) so we just wrote what they would like in morning also - we added request fro brocolli for them to go with chicken nuggets and chips and they did that nice fresh bowl for them to share and offered children ice cream instead of a la carte pudding if needed. Buffet main had great selection - mixed grilled meats once night, italian one night and mixed general another. Pudding buffet on last friday was yum. A la carte food was usually a starter as well as a soup and then main and pudding. All brought when you were ready. Arrive for meal between 6-7.30 and stay as long as you like Breakfast was also buffet with omelette cooked to order upon request (fried eggs, other omellete and scrambled eggs pre cooked and ready to choose on hot plate- fruit, yoghurts, breads, jams, croissant - tea coffee, juices and cereals. Hotel also provided coconut milk for friend each day as non dairy option. Hotel is a short walk to gondola (we rented a locker at top of Penken Gondola to avoid carrying each day which was a big help with 8 of us including 4 children) - the hotel has ski lockers included also and there is a bus but we didn't use it. There is a gym which looked well equipped, sadly we didn't get a chance to use sauna, jacuzzi etc. There is a kids playroom in basement which has table tennis, table football, mini soft play and tv - various ages of children used it - I would prefer it to be more secure or have some sort of safety monitoring. The front entrance is auto-opening which I'd prefer to have an adult release button like other family friendly hotels have so only adults can open doors to get out. Pay by 9pm on last night meant there was a bit of a queue to sort out so go early if you can to avoid that. If you leave early hotel can put a small breakfast for you to have and also can provide packed lunch for trip if wanted (not sure if there is a cost for that though). Drinks are reasonably priced - big jug of water is charged at Euro 2. Wine recommendations were good and approx Euro 29 per bottle or more. There is no afternoon tea included which was a bit of a disappointment as we've always had that at other places when returning from afternoon skiing. There is a Spar shop on way back from Penken Gondola so it's easy to buy drinks and snacks there (not if you're carrying skiis though!). The newly refurbished rooms looks good and hopefully this will be spread across whole hotel - our room smelled of smoke and we saw cleaners smoking out window from outside when walking back. We had a towel which smelled strongly of smoke which was horrible and I gave feedback on this which they've taken on board.…
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Rose, one week from 8 February for skiing. The hotel is cosy and immaculately maintained. The rooms were well appointed with great balconies. The beds were comfy. One suggestion - more supportive rectangular sizes pillows would go down well. The bar is super with really reasonable prices. We enjoyed half board for 3 nights and ate out 4 nights. You have to sit down by19.30 for half board dinner but that suited us well. Food was delicious and plentiful. Breakfast is superb. Efficient and safe ski store next to the hotel. All the hotel staff and super nice and efficient and made us feel very welcome. We loved our stay and would recommend Hotel Rose.
Very nice welcome, good location at the end of village, ski bus from down the road at the Kramerwirt hotel, so easy to leave your skis in their very nice next locker area at the Rose and take them to the mountain each day. Nice large room, very good housekeeping staff. The biggest dissapointment was the food, we paid for half board, we went out for three nights as we did not enjoy the food at all. On departure reception wanted to charge us for going out! Would go back on a bed & breakfast basis.Food was awful.
We visited on January 20 for a week. We were 4 persons in a big room . The room was big very comfortable and clean . The hotel has a new and nice ski room for storage. Great location, less then 10 min walking to the gondola and also a bus stop just out side that take you to the gondola. They have an average spa that answered our needs. The only thing that need to be improve is the dinner, we took a half board including dinner and non of us enjoyed from the food. We updated the reception and unfortunately they said that we are not the first that mentioned it. Over all it good hotel and probably come again.
