We have been visiting Mayerhofen now for 10 years, and yet until last week we had never visited the amazing restaurant Mt Everest located within the Hotel Andrea. Our table was reserved for 7.45pm and apon arriving we were welcomed warmly, shown to our table, our waiter was the complete professional, warm and friendly yet not overbearing. He gave the table ample time to catch up with each other and make our choices before taking our order. The food ! Well put simply, delicious and plentiful. We chose a selection from the menu Venison Raghu, Beef Ribs, Carbonara and the Cordon Bleu. The Venison Raghu was simply to die for, the venison pieces melted in your mouth the sauce was rich, deep and packed full of flavour. My wife was the only one of us who had a pudding and her warm Raspberry and Ice Cream Sundae certainly did not disappoint. Over the course of last week we visited the Mt Everest a further twice and can say with confidence each time just got better. The team are fantastic, very friendly very professional and very attentive if you get the chance and looking for somewhere special to dine you will struggle to find better, we were also very lucky in getting a table each visit but it was clear it would be better to book ahead. …
The Hausburger family are completely charming and welcomed us like old friends. Hotel facilities are very good. Enjoyed the spa! Location excellent. The restaurant gets booked out quickly as the food is great and terriffic value! Great atmosphere in bar/restaurant. Cannot find a single fault! Rooms are lovely and reasonably priced. Archie
Been visiting this family run hotel for 32 years, and have seen the children grow up ! Mayrhofen is a beautiful vibrant small town in the Tyrol and the surrounding valleys and mountains are stunning. Feels like a second home for us.
We are so glad we chose this hotel as it’s perfectly located for the main lift, restaurants, shops and bars. The staff are lovely and breakfast very good. It has to be the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in!! Not a speck of dust anywhere. I know that’s a strange thing to point out but it’s very noticeable.
Excellent premises, with service that is always willing to go the extra mile. Rooms are nice and well maintained. Breakfast and dinner are rich and good. Excellent location that is only a short walking distance to the Penkenbahn and Ahornbahn gondolas.
Lovely fondue evening with friends in the mount everest restaurant. Food excellent, local wine recommendation really lovely. We weren't hotel residents but the service was great, friendly, helpful staff. Restaurant busy, nice atmosphere. Recommend booking.
We dined al fresco on a warm Summer evening. The staff was very engaging and the food was exceptional. Pricing was very reasonable. The location is top notch having a view of the stream nearby. Also very close to the Penkenbahn.
Being back after 3 years in this town, we again visited the restaurant mount everest, which is part of this hotel. The food is still very good, fresh ingrediente etc. Even a small snapsch afterward. Service is still good and prompt. Enjoyed this evening again
We ate here a couple of times, in the Mount Everest restaurant. Great food here and excellent service. As well as the food which is a mixture of local and international dishes the beer is very good too. I recommend a visit here, it is at the top of town near the Ahornbahn cable car so a bit of a walk from the bottom of town but it's an easy walk back down.
The non residents restaurant is, perhaps strangely, called Mount Everest and is well worth a visit. They do an excellent range of local dishes and the service is friendly and prompt. It's particularly worth a visit in inclement weather as the outside area can be closed in giving a nice conservatory feel. I can highly recommend the large salads and the Kasespatzle. They serve a different beer to the normal local 'Zillertal', not sure it's in the same league
