This nice, well run hotel is centrally located in Saalbach, is near to the bus/taxi stops, and only a five minute walk to the Schattberg gondola. Hotel has everything you need, spacious clean rooms, hot water, good storage for skis and boots, and a continental breakfast. All the bars and restaurants are a short walking distance. Saalbach itself is a...

Rooms are basic but clean with laminated wood floors and pine furniture. My room had a balcony with a view of the Schattberg black run and it was handy for keeping drinks cool. Better than I was expecting. Now the bad points. The included breakfast wasn't great. I had salami, cheese and bread every day. The bread was stale. There...

Travelled with a group of 10 keen skiers to Saalbach, and found this cheap and cheerful hotel to be everything we wanted. The rooms we had were massive - we stayed 2 to a room, but each one had more space than required, with my room having an Austrian twin in one room, and four bunk beds in another. Showers...

Rooms are comfy and clean, you get bed, table, safe and bathroom - don't expect anything else. Breakfast could be better, boiled eggs toast and cereal is your lot. Make sure you down before 09:30 though as otherwise coffee machine gets turned off and there are no eggs. Disappointed there is no kettle tea or coffee in rooms. Under bar...

Was very pleasantly surprised at how good this hotel was for the price. I would call this a 'no frills hotel'. Good clean facilities. Rooms were basic with bed wardrobe and bedside table. Beds were clean and comfy enough.... hot water only failed us on New Years Eve (which is hardly surprising with everyone attempting to wash around the same...

Cheap and cheerfully.room was fabulously big, extremely clean and comfy.only downside was the bar in cellar with live music ever night,so if you want to go to sleep before 1am,this might not be for you ,although other guest never heard anything,so might just have been where our room was.Breakfast was fine plenty of cereals.boiled eggs and toast.coffee and fruit juicy.Great location...

This was our 2nd time at Hotel Central and just as good as the 1st visit! Nice rooms, comfy beds, reasonable breakfast-excellent selection of cereals, toast, meats and cheeses. The UnderBar did not disturb our sleeping (we were on the 2nd floor again). The room was cleaned every day. We didn't spend much time in the room except to sleep...

stayed here in March on a half price deal through neilson. Was worried but needn't have! Rooms very clean, beds comfy, bathroom was dated but fine, never a shortage of hot water for showers even though the place was full, unlike another 4* hotel in kaprun where it was cold showers every night after 7! Breakfast was plain but enough...

This is a good, clean, value for money hotel. The rooms are of adequate size and the beds are comfortable. The website said no Wi-Fi, but in fact the hotel does have free Wi-Fi. The location is fine and within easy reach of the lifts and a variety of apres-ski bars and clubs. The Under Bar is very nice and...

We stayed at the Hotel Sport Berger last year and the rooms were actually better in Hotel Central......it cost over £300 less too Good location, clean rooms, average breakfast and for the money paid, really good. The negative reviews on here are probably from people who expect the world for bargain prices because thats all they can afford,
