I booked the hotel with friends and we were really looking forward to a weekend of fine dining and luxury.. Not anymore at the hostellerie de conques. The restaurant was the most dissapointing as we had seen they were recommended by Michelin and Gault Millau..It must have been a while since they were visited as the food was not all...

Called at 10 pm to get information on availabilities of the hotel, due to short term trip planning. I apparently got in contact with the owner or manager, who directly told me that i was a fool to call at this time and that hotel hours would be like office hours and I should adapt to call before 7 pm....

We had a friendly and warm welcome in the hotel. The surroundings is magnificent. In other words: WOOW!!! It's a family owned hotel since generations (I believe early 60's). We were shown our suite and the servant was carrying our bags up to the room. The suite has a little hallway, then a sitting area, the bed and the minibar,...

I'd stayed here about 3 years ago and had a fabulous and very memorable meal. We returned this year for one night. The place is as beautiful as ever: a lovely building in fantastic grounds which lead down to the river. On nice days you can take your aperitif outside on the lawns. Inside the building is nicely decorated, preserving...

I had heard of this hotel many years ago. Even KIng Albert is said to have been a regular of the restaurant when driving around on his motorbike. The location and the building is still fantastic, but the service is not at the level of a 4 star hotel. In a 4 star hotel I don't expect the shower head...

We had a written confirmation for a Junior Suite (located in the first floor of the main building). Once we arrived, we were not told anything just given a key. The key number was not one of the two Junior Suites (#1 or #3); when mentioning this, the reply was aggressive: “we have priorities for other guests who stay 12...

Very nice, cosy hotel, only 10 rooms, nice infrastructure. We had a gastronimic arrangement. Diner was fabulous, but 5 courses in 1.30h is too fast... They have an extensive choice of good French wines. Service was nice, but not exceptional, I think it was the waiter's first job. The location is marvellous, they have a nice garden and a fine...
