Cheap hotel in the lower part of Melnik, a good option for those on a budget. Rooms are small and simple, but cosy. Views from the front rooms are nice, but from the back rooms you can only see a wall. Smell of cooking oil comes through the window for most of the day. Breakfast is available, and there is...

Stayed in room nr 1 above the street. Private bathroom. Beautiful view of town. Very friendly owner. Just be prepared for the street noise early in the morning and I would suggest that you skip the double bed in that room - the mattress is only coils of springs.. not a good sleep. The single beds in the room were...

This is a beautiful hotel. I had my own room with a private bathroom, and a private balcony overlooking the entire street - it was amazing. The staff were lovely, breakfast (coffee and french toast with Bulgarian cheese and homemade jam) was included in the room price, the wifi was fast, and the town was spectacular. This was my favourite...

Although the staff speaks hardly any word but Bulgarian they are all darlings and are eager to see to it that you have a great time in this wonderfully surprising city of Melnik. Rooms are neat and clean, bathroom is ok, but hey, you are here for the estonishing nature, not for an expensive spa treatment! The quality you'll get...

Visited for lunch - service ok, but food very poor. Chicken soup contained just a trace of chicken, tripe soup was so bad it was sent back (but still charged on the bill). Parlenki heated in the microwave so very soggy. Its difficult to find anything positive to say about the Mario. Avoid.

Melnik is worth coming! It's the smallest town in Bulgaria but has special atmoshere. And it's beautiful! Hotel is nice and placed at the main street. Rooms are small but clean. It's a really calm place. We had breakfasts included. Nothing special (e.g. eggs with Bulgarian cheese) but we didn't expect more because of the price. You can eat diners...

Made our stay a pleasure. Great food and very well priced dinner. Authentic atmosphere. Nothing was too much for these guys. Highly recommended. Very clean and comfortable with balcony views of the valley.

There are two Mario hotels own by the same person. My review will be for the hotel on the road to Rojen (the main hotel is in the centre). First of all, if you are looking for a cheep trip and you don't have enough time for vacation, I certainly recommend that you visit this hotel. It is a small...

We were staying at the so-called complex, so I can't speak for the hotel itself. The complex is situated right in the middle of the village and makes for a great base for exploring Melnik and surroundings. The owners are kind and very keen on making your stay a comfortable one. They make up for what the complex may lack...

Hotel is in very quite town with wonferfull mountains and a lot of wineries. Owners of hotel were very very friendly. Breakfast was delicious - some kind of pancakes and the portion is really big. We ate there a lot of times and each time we got free desserts or wine. We spent our day exploring the small town and...
