Unit 313 was our home recently, for nine nights. First the good. The Hale Kona Kai is located within easy walking distance to the shopping/dining/tourist traps of Kona. No need to "drive downtown". The not so good about this property is, ironically, the location. It is buttressed between a large condo project and a large hotel complex. There is absolutely...

Aloha, We are so sorry that these guests where not happy with Hale Kona Kai. I do wish they had let us know they were unhappy, we would have offered to move them to another condo and if that was not acceptable, we would have helped them find another accommodation and refunded them the rest of their stay. At no...

We stayed on the Island of Hawaii 10 years ago on our honeymoon. We decided to rekindle that moment during our 10 year anniversary and looked on-line to see about our original hotel. We discovered Hale Kona Kai and saw that Adeline was the manager of many units in the complex. After speaking to her a few times, she informed...

My son and I spent six nights at Hale Kona Kai in late April 2008. With regards to the entire complex the location is excellent, especially when you consider the cost. "Town", restaurants(which we did not frequent, and "beaches" are convenient(any place in Kona would be close to the majority of the places I would want to visit). The staff...

I really wish I could recommend unit 201 at Hale Kona Kai due to its proximity to the ocean and overall appearance of the condo itself. The unit was clean, the kitchen well stocked and the ocean directly below your lanaii, literally. However, the stomping sound from the people walking in the unit above was simply unbearable. My wife and...

Chose the condo based on the reviews, and it was as advertized. The condo (unit 204) was spotless, had upgraded furnishings, king firm bed, very nice Hawaiin quilt, etc. View out the lanai was fantastic. Over the course of our five day stay we saw dolphins in the bay, a green turtle and a large eel in the shallows just...

We just returned from a long stay at Hale Kona Kai Unit #409 and were extremely happy with everything. The unit was perfect for us - one bedroom apartment with everything you could need to make your vacation perfect......chairs, cooler, mats, boogie boards along with a well appointed kitchen and living spaces. The lanai looks directly out to the ocean...

Just returned from staying in unit 305 for an extended weekend and must share that we were thoroughly impressed with the unit and the complex in general. All the rooms are right on the ocean and have the most amazing veiw- there were sea turtles hanging out on the rocks below when we arrived! Unit 305 was clean and offered...

My wife and I stayed in unit 408 of Hale Kona Kai for 9 days in Feb -March 2008 for our anniversary. We've stayed in condos on Kauai and Maui before, but this unit was the best as far as supplies, cleanliness, comfort and a usable kitchen. Oh yes, I must mention the 32" high-end flat screen TV in the...

We had a wonderful week's stay at the Hale Kona Kai #406 condo. Everything was extremely well maintained and clean. It was very well furnished and stocked with all the essentials. Beautiful oceanview from the balcony including the view of the munching sea turtles in the tidepools below. The sound of the waves at night was so relaxing. We hope...

We just returned from one of the best vacations ever at the Hale Kona Kai - unit 301. This corner unit couldn't be any closer to the ocean, we could hardly pull ourselves off the comfortable lanai. It has everything you need, a well stocked kitchen, a really comfortable king bed with good pillows (which is a must for us...
