Had an enjoyable time and really appreciated the location: crashing surf, nice park next door on one side -- great beach on the other. The bed and bathroom were just fine, but the kitchen and some of the furnishings need work. Had a constant battle with small ants on the kitchen counter (keep your food in the refrigerator or on...

Lovely place and we will go back here if we go to the Big Island again. We stayed in 301 which give you the best balcony. The apartment is dated but comfortable. Close enough to the village and the beach right next door was beautiful. Magic Sands is popular and we were lucky to get a last minute cancellation.

This was a perfect getaway for my family. Large enough, great lanai, clean, so well stocked, easy walk to the beach. Quiet and great parking. We liked being a little bit out of the busy part of town. Found a great grocery store near by and a local pizza place. Definitely coming back!

I loved the condo at the Magic Sands. It is conveniently situated between a beach and a park, both within walking distance. The views were stunning and the room was well kept. Pool was beautiful and it felt like you were in the ocean.

We stayed in Unit #314 - a corner unit on the top floor. The view is absolutely stunning and brilliant. Ceiling to floor windows on two sides overlook the ocean and adjacent park. The waves loudly crash right outside of the condo and you can easily hear the surf from every point inside. Fabulous way to fall asleep! The inside...

We stayed 11 nights here. The view from our lanai was gorgeous. We sat on it all the time. We saw a mother whale and her calf breaching before a beautiful sunset. The unit is sparsely furnished with limited kitchen supplies. We didn't initially have a coffee maker but did receive one before sundown the next day when we mentioned...

We stayed here for two weeks. During our stay here the ocean was extremely rough with high surf, so the noise was incredibly loud. It can be hard to sleep at night if you leave the window open, yet it can get too warm if you keep it closed as there is no A/C. The (3) ceiling fans helped immensely....

We stayed in unit #203 and absolutely loved it. The place is very simple - a murphy bed, couch/futon, small indoor table, full studio kitchen, and good-sized bathroom with shower. Decor is a bit dated, but with a view like that, who cares? The condo was clean and functional. We were a bit concerned when we realized the queen sized...

My husband and I stayed at 109. We were quite pleased with our stay here. The location is unbeatable being steps away from the ocean. Although this condo is not brand new, we found it to be very clean and maintained ( only complain was the loud noise of the fridge and visible rust stains on the outside). We found...

Since these are individually owned condo units, you have to be careful what you rent. It's almost not fair for Trip Advisor to lump them all under "Kona Magic Sands" because clearly there are vast differences in quality from unit to unit. We researched the unit we rented, 311, and it mostly met or exceeded our expectations. The inside of...
