the views & the location made this resort what it was ! we had checked into a partial ocean view room (room behind the waterslide) which was dark and outdated. we tried to open our balcony door to go outside onto our balcony but the sliding door was caught onto the nail in the lock. we spoke to the lobby...

Rays restaurant is woefully understaffed. There were delays in the serving of our meal then I waited at least twenty minutes to get the check. I finally went to the hostess stand to get a check. The food is is three stars at best.

Just arrived ! 3 of us booked here separately . Jean at valet was VERY sweet and helpful. Registration not as pleasant. Arrived at 3:37pm and our room was not ready. I was totally ok waiting by the pool but it would have been nice to receive a timeline or apology for not being ready. After I received a phone...

We stayed at this location during the Ironman race. At check in, it took us three trips to the front desk to get it right (wrong room, then the key didn't work for the second room), standing in a long line each time. The man seemed oblivious. We experienced very similar service throughout our stay, including at the restaurant and...

I stayed here last year and loved it so we decided to come back. Unfortunately the service wasn't as good this year as it was last. Maybe my expectations were higher this time round but I felt the service wasn't as good and the staff weren't as attentive. We were meant to get 2 bottles of water daily but only...

Hotel was perfect location and has a trolley bus to shops and attractions. The room ( executive suite) was amazing with a huge balcony and wonderful views out to sea, and was perfect for viewing the manta rays at night - the hotel turns lights on that shine into the water and this attracts the plankton the the rays feed...

We stayed for 4 days. The first two days we had horrendous VOG (Volcano Fog) Not to good for people with breathing problems. Also the tides were higher than normal and the sea was very rough. The waves that crash into the rocks in front of the hotel are legendary. The waves were splashing into the open bar area ,...

Room was always clean, pool was awesome and very kid friendly...we have a 2 year old so the kiddie section was perfect with tiny "rock sand" and plenty room to play! Food was awesome...went to the buffet 2 mornings in a row...a little pricey, but perfect and awesome awesome outdoor view, open early which was even better! We didn't have...

This hotel is a long way from town and all the action. It's a solid concrete building inspired by the late 60's early 70's space race. Swooping concrete buttresses and decor, it's stuck in a time warp. Did a bit of asking around and it seems that Sheraton only took it over a couple of years ago and did not...

Aloha Monty6345, Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay with us. I apologize that we fell short of delivering the level of service that you deserve and expect. The Sheraton Kona is short 7 miles from the lovely historic Kona Town. We do appreciate your kind comments regarding the architecture and pool slide. I did also want to...

modest hotel but priced appropriately. The good: 1) price 2) very big rooms 3) very family friendly 4) pool slide! The bad: 1) rooms are fairly weathered. place needs an update 2) far from many of the attractions you will likely want to visit on the island (said another way, you will spend a lot of time driving around if...
