We stayed in D-33, which is a top floor ocean front unit. The place had everything we needed (washer/dryer, sand chairs, beach towels, umbrella, boogie boards, snorkel gear, ice chests, well stocked kitchen) and was clean. They don’t do daily maid service, but they had extra towels and linens in the room. The only thing they didn’t have was a...

We stayed in Unit D-24 and it was very nicely decorated, recently painted and kitchen updated, very clean. The view was fantastic, looking right out towards the ocean. We were constantly entertained with whale and dolphin sightings (bring your binoculars); people parasailing, swimming, paddleboarding, canoeing, boogie boarding, etc. It was fun watching the sea turtles in the tidal pools. This...

Dark, dingy and outdated unit. Carpet needs replacing. No curtains on bedroom window, too much outdoor light made it hard to sleep. Office never open when you need it. Staff pleasant enough. Furniture in living area very uncomfortable. Double bed hard as a rock. Owners of this unit need to upgrade for what they charge

We just returned from a week in Kailua-kona for my parents 50th anniversary. The location of the condo is perfect: a short walk to restaurants and shops ( only one resort between the condos and the small town area.) We had a one bedroom ocean view room. (B-37) We had a lovely view of the beach next to the condo...

We stayed for a week in what was arguably the best location in this condo: Top center looking out over the pool and ocean. The unit was beautifully decorated and well supplied with kitchen utensils. Just about everything you can think of is provided. Couldn't ask for more. Tip for walking to the ABC store and restaurants nearby: Take the...

The Kona Reef Condos are excellent value for money. Fantastic location 5 minute walk from shops and restaurants, adjacent to a small but nice public beach with sand, lovely pool. We had a unit on the ground floor, as we requested when booking. Unit itself was excellent - practical layout, pull-down bed in living room, everything worked perfectly. We would...

We have stayed at the Kona Reef 4 times and have been pleased with our units each time.We have stayed in different units each time, some could use a bit of an update, but all are clean and the kitchens have pretty much everything one needs to cook a meal . We stayed in an outside unit this time (...

I can't say enough about this condo. The location was absolutely perfect, the items available for use such as beach towels, chairs and ice chest extremely handy and our private lanai easily my favorite spot on the island. There are amazing tide pools just a stones throw from the condos that provide lots of exploring and interesting finds. I highly...

My husband and I truly enjoyed the sound of the waves splashing on shore as we fell asleep at night. It was a most soothing and restful sound at any time of the day; we wish to return to the ocean front condo one day. This hotel is a short walk to the quaint town center and restaurants. It is...
