In Seward 2 nights early september. Really enjoyed being in the downtown area; very short walks to good restaurants, the Aquariam, and the waterfront. historical building with very nicely appointed rooms and kitchens, flat screen TV, sitting room. no problems parking right in front. Clean and attractive and roomy. Nice touch to have the complimentary wine every evening in the...

This was a great place to stay in Seward. It is right downtown on the main street, so it is just steps from many good restaurants, shops and attractions. Matt the owner was a great guy. Very friendly and easy-going; we really enjoyed talking with him. The suites are all quite beautiful and surprisingly tasteful for such a small town,...

My wife and I came to Seward yesterday. While walking around this lovely small town we noted the great menu at the Sauerdough Lodging building. We had breakfast at Sauerdough this morning. It has a lovely eating area. One orders at the counter from a healthy list of dishes. My wife had baked oatmeal with strawberries with great coffee; I...

Cosy and comfortable, old world charm (pressed metal walls) with modern facilities (everything you need to self cater in a well designed kitchenette). The bed was comfortable and the fold down divan equally so! A full size old fashioned claw foot bath with shower over was lovely to soak in after being out all day hiking or cruising. So central...

We stayed at the Sourdough Lodging for two nights. It was clean, comfortable, and convenient. It is located right in town and you can walk to the local establishments. You will need your car to get to the docks. We had a full kitchen, full bath, and plenty of room for two adults and three older teenagers. We stayed in...

We expected this place to be a boutique hotel in historic downtown Seward. I would just call the building historic. The lodging was up a long flight of stairs with keypad entry to the stairs and room. The bed was small but ok and the room was huge and included a full kitchen. The shower was a converted clawfoot tube...

Older place with lots of character. Comfortable loding that was a bit pricy, but most of seward is higher anyway. I would definitely stay here again. It's within walking distance to plenty of shops and restaurants. Check out the sea bean cafe for some excellent food.

Clean, well kept B&B above a coffee shop and in the downtown area of Seward. Bed was not so good. But the rooms were of good size and had full kitchens. Near the aquarium. Easy to park and go for a run in the morning.

We enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and well maintained. It wasn't fancy, but we weren't expecting it to be. Keyless entry system worked wonderfully and the downtown location was very convenient. There was a slight "old building" smell when we arrived but after opening the windows, it aired out in 30 minutes and we had no further problems....

We spent a couple of nights in Seward before beginning our cruise to the Russian Far East. We stayed in Days End, off the street, large and comfy. We had a kitchenette but didn't bother with it as there were plenty of places to eat nearby. We are rather independent, so the self-serve nature of Sauerdough worked well for us....
