I like the Courtyards that are in cities in older buildings, they all seem to do a pretty good job and have some uniqueness which is welcome for those that travel a lot. This one was in the old "Alaska" building. Location is pretty good,...More
Nice hotel with a good staff. Room was large for an older building and was clean and comfortable. You do get city noise but it’s to be expected in any large city. It’s your typical Courtyard which is not a bad thing. The plus for...More

We love this hotel! The staff is fun, professional, and efficient, the rooms are nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. But the absolute greatest think about this hotel is the location!

This hotel is clean enough, amenities adequate. In the pass, when one checks into a hotel, the receptionist would try to engage guess in a conversation such as where his from, had a good trip or drive, etc, but no more. The only thing they...More

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am pleased that you enjoyed the hotel amenities and staff. We hope you will stay with us again should you come back to Seattle!
No, Unfortunately, we only have valet parking for a fee of $47 per day inclusive of all taxes. We do not have parking stalls at the hotel as we are a historic building. We have to lease the stalls at a local garage. Gerry

Thank you for your question. Both hotels are about equal distance to Pike Place Market and the Waterfront. For your 9 year old there would probably be more to do around the Hyatt Place such as the Space Needle and the Pacific Science Center. There is probably more in the way of nightlife in the Pioneer Square area though. Also, we are within walking distance to the Century Link Field and Safeco Field in case anyone is interested in taking in a baseball or soccer game. Don't know if that helps. Please feel free to contact us directly if we can answer any questions.
