This summer we are staying at three Fairmont hotels. First, the one in the Grand Del Mar and frankly that hotel is a category all to itself - its really a seven-star hotel. Second, the Fairmont in Seattle and finally the Fairmont in San Francisco. Putting aside the the Fairmont San Diego is really more of a Four Seasons and...

Booked one night for our family of three via major platinum card. Also a member of Fairmont President's Club. Received email where we could check in before we arrived, so we did. Nevertheless, we still got sent to Reception. Asked for 1:00 pm checkout which they granted. Get to the room (Executive King Suite), and it clearly didn't accommodate three...

lovely place, excellent concierge service. Asked for directions to various attractions, and they researched them, printed and delivered them to the room. Super room service both by the room attendant and the food delivery people. Excellent location, closed to all the shopping area, the famous market, and the duck rides....

Upon checking in, I paid $30.- for an upgraded room. Once inside the room, I noticed a rollaway bed, torn sofa, and filthy carpeting. Went back down to the desk and asked for a different room.
