Recently traveled through Loire Valley area, went to visit Zoo Doue which was a fabulous experience. We stayed for two nights at this hotel which was a really lovely restful experience. Recently refurbished with an indoor pool and Jacuzzi , although the pool is rather small it certainly is big enough to enjoy a relaxed swim. The Spa is situated...

Our stay at the Auberge Bienvenue in Doue-la-Fontaine, France this August was fantastic in every way. We have traveled in France for 42 summers and this hotel / restaurant was one of our best ever. We had a wonderful hotel room with access to their beautiful garden. There was also an indoor pool and exercise salon. The restaurant was outstanding...

We stayed in this hotel when visiting the Loire Valley for 3 nights. Our reasons for choosing the hotel were based on location, the reasonable price and the fact that dogs were allowed. We initially found the hotel quite difficult to find because our satnav initially sent us in the wrong direction so we were a little stressed when we...

Having booked two rooms at this hotel some months ago through the Logis Central Reservations website, and received confirmation by email, together with Reservation Numbers, we were not at all pleased to arrive there after a five hour drive and be told they had no record of our booking and were completely full. We had to drive on to Saumur...

After we unpacked a brief swim and shower ready for dinner.....

Frequently when you return to a location it lacks that something recalled from a first visit but not Madame Roche and her team! Since our last visit marked upgrade of rooms and exterior area around the garden. The restaurant was busy as ever offering high quality medium price meals. Great en route stop as four hours from main ferry ports.

On this occasion we had one of the new rooms, or rather suites, overlooking the garden. Absolutely beautiful, decorated in monochrome colours. Superking sized bed, supremely comfortable, air conditioning, TVs in both the bedroom and sitting room, digital safe, enormous walk-in shower, separate WC, all very spacious. We didn't use the spa although it looked very inviting with a small...

I booked three rooms for two nights for my family and me. The reception staff was helpful but I needed my daughters help with French as the manager did not speak much English. We had three double rooms on the first floor; the facilities were we good and met expectations. The rooms had tea/coffee making facilities but no milk. We...

The room was large, quiet and comfortable. The Restaurant is very very good, we stayed there around four days and had the opportunity to test very choices: one was better than the other. Also the wine list is excellent. The personnel is very polite. The location is also good is you would like to visit the low course of the...
