I stayed for 9 days in the Inlet Tower Hotel and have only good things to say. Very friendly service! The employees at the reception were great and helpful at all times.

The room was dated, but clean. There weren't any types of literature, except for the bible. The towels were thick and very nice. The Jacuzzi bath was wonderful. The walls were rather thin, and I could hear noises from adjacent rooms. All in all, a...More
Single queen room so-so, especially as phones didn't work which was a bit unnerving as there was a big earthquake!! But thanks to Trip advisor other recommended upgrading to deluxe double queen on top floor conner and that was very nice.
Service was not bad but not good either. The room was clean for sure ( we had a 3 year old I wanted to make sure the floor was clean for him to play on ) it DID smell a little like mold or something....More
For a hotel in Alaska at $52/night, you really can't complain. The room was satisfactorily clean, and the temperature was quite comfortable. If I had been there during daylight I would have enjoyed the Chugach views. The television and Wi-Fi were serviceable. I can't imagine...More

WE left on our cruise from Seward which is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours by car or 4 hours in the train. If travelling by train to your port ,you wont need a taxi as Inlet Towers provide a shuttle bus to the railway station. Might I add that the train trip down to Seward was one of the most spectacular train trips we have every done, Highly recommended.

For the shuttle, once you have arrived at the airport and retrieved your luggage, you will need to notify the front desk at the hotel by calling 907-276-0110. If you do not have a phone, the desk agents at the airport are there to help you. The front desk agent at the hotel will direct you to a baggage claim door, have you exit outside, and cross over a few lanes to the taxi cab island. You will need to stand directly across from the door you designated while on the phone. The shuttle is a white van with red lettering, and reads PubHouse across the windows of the van.
As for booking a room with a view, one side of the hotel faces the mountain range, and the other the inlet, so you really can't go wrong either way. However, rooms are not typically assigned prior to a guests arrival, and therefore the room you get just depends on the hotels occupancy and your time of arrival. But when you are checking in, you may always request a high room facing which ever direction you prefer, and our desk agents are very good at accommodating requests the best they can.
