This hotel is beautifully appointed, rooms are great. We were only overnight here but front of house were very accommodating in finding us an early checkin. The bar/restaurant was great, lovely and cosy with a good view of the lake and seaplanes taking off and landing. We had an excellent waiter named Milav he was very attentive and gave us...

Kudos to John & Jacob for a no hassle check-in and complimentary breakfast vouchers! After a long flight from Vermont, the warm hospitality was much appreciated. Although a seasoned hotel, there is great Alaskan ambiance with lots of mounted animals taken from the Alaska wilds. A delightful hotel.

We stayed here, as we often do, on our way home to Nome. Comfortable room and friendly, helpful staff. Close to airport with good shuttle service. Our preference for a handy and quite adequate hotel for a short night layover. Have stayed for as much as a week in the past. Recommend this for, among other things, great views and...

My girlfriend and I decided to visit Anchorage for nice vacation since neither one of us had ever been to Alaska before. The Lakefront Anchorage simply looked nice and seemed like they had good accommodations from what we saw online so we booked with them. Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted by everyone who saw us walk through the door...

My first visit to Anchorage - Alaska . Had no recommdations from anyone . But booked The Lakefront Anchorage, just on the basis of its location . So I wasn't expecting much . But I must say, I was not at all disappointed . Awesome location ! Could see the Lake from my room . Could view Seaplanes landing and...

The room was clean and ready when I arrived. The view was scenic and beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bar/lounge was great. Even the other guests were friendly and helpful giving me advice on things to do. A great place and I would stay there again.

First, I have to say (since no other reviews indicate it), this hotel DOES NOT have a swimming pool, despite other review places indicate it as having one. I booked it thinking it did. My wife doesn't normally come on these trips, but I convinced her to come and told her it had a pool. Sad day for me. The...

Mr. Fullmer, Thank you for giving us your feedback on your recent, short stay. I'm very sorry that the impression of us having a "pool" continues to permeate certain websites. We continue to make efforts to eliminate this falsehood, despite us never having a pool since being constructed. The internet issues you experienced are surprising and I will look into...

Hotel staff was great. Enjoyed being in a lodge, rather than same old decor; only negative was the food and service in restaurants, which are advertised as three but really only one. The food was mediocre; the service about the same. Not enough help for breakfast. Very slow, and had to be reminded of things, like silverware. Enjoyed the hotel...

The staff, especially Tony and Elsa and Roy, were amazing! The people here have been super friendly and helpful. When I got here the lake was frozen, but I got to watch it melt completely within two weeks. The trail around the lake is an experience because you walk past all these little seaplanes and mini house/storage buildings as well...

Holly, Thank you for your kind words and comments regarding The Lakefront Anchorage. I'm especially proud of the individuals you mentioned in your comments and will take the time to commend them. The transition of Lake Spenard from "frozen to open" one is exciting. It's great that you were able to witness it. As the busiest floatplane base in the...
